Lori, Rex and Diane are still running PWP. I was just there yesterday to pick up a few things. They have not sold as of yet. Still open. Business as usual.

Are they selling the place Larry ?
I do believe they are trying to. I think they had a buyer but it fell through. Not really sure what happened.
Rex and Lori are good people, maybe not the greatest business people, but Rex and Lori have helped out a lot of people when they made nothing from them, like a lot of other people on this board, some of us have great front ends, some of have great back ends, some have neither.
Call Rex today on his cell phone about a part or pump that he did not sell you and he'll spend time trying to help out, OK, his bedside manner and interpersonal communications skills lack a little.
This is true Ron, and that's why the voting is on the OPEN side of the Forum, so everyone can participate. I am also open to having the voting duplicated on ANY other Forum that wishes to participate. Then, we could simply combine the voting results from all the other forums, with the results we get here at RCIA.
Ron, will you help me with this ? Will the UAMCC and PWI be willing to participate by duplicating the current list of candidates we have here, and see how they do on other forums ?
While I am flattered that I appear to be running away with this, I must face facts. This is MY forum, and people know me here. My intentions were to honor those who have made roof cleaning what it is today for others, not stroke my own Ego.
If you will help me Ron, I will help you by insuring RCIA Participation when you do the Pressure Washing Hall Of Fame one day. I deliberately left that for you, or someone more qualified then myself, to put together a list of the top people, in the pressure washing industry.

Any updates to this situation Larry ?
I just can't imagine them selling Pressure Washer Products. I mean, what would they do ? They may be a bit "dysfunctional", but who in the roof cleaning business is not ?
I don't think any of us are in the cleaning business, because we sang too loud in Church
Rex told me a couple of months ago that he was retiring from the business. At that time he had someone who was going to buy the business... I guess that did not work out. I wish them the best.

Me 2 Marcus, Rex is one of the hardest working guys I know, and I wish Lori and him only the best.
I voted for Chris Tucker. To be voted into a hall of fame, I would think it would require that you not only know what you are doing, but that you have many years of experience at roof cleaning as well. While I think that Rex and Lori are knowledgeable, as are many vendors, I don't see how they fit into a roof cleaning hall of fame? I would like to have seen Marcus in Texas on the voting list and myself too. I have perhaps the most years in roof cleaning-starting in 1989 pressure cleaning them and then attempting to invent an SH Mix pumping system in 1991 and then being shown a working system by a 2 man crew in Englewood in late 1991. I wish I knew who they were? They showed me the whole shebang back then! Marcus sent me pictures of the 12 volt system he put together and I thought his ideas were unusual and interesting! Of course, I had no question that even with my 24 years experience, I do not have the tech knowledge of Chris Tucker! I know that AC had a giant roof cleaning business, but I don't know if he developed it himself or much about him, in all honesty. If it's possible to go back and vote again, I would probably vote for Doug Rucker, but to be fair, I need to know a little more about how long he has been in the business first=need to do a bit of research. Mike Sullivan also has impressed me through the years with knowledge, but again, for an honest vote, I need to know more about him. I know his name is on the list twice Maybe you can take his extra one off and put me in?
Also, you could take John Browne off [his franchisers pressure clean roofs and misrepresent those of us who clean roofs without pressure] and put Marcus in instead?
Those are my thoughts. I don't get a lot of thoughts anymore, so when I do, I put them in writing, so I don't forget!

I can't edit the poll Chuck, and I was gonna put you in the poll, here is why I didn't. I know all you have done for roof cleaning, but since you pretty much stay here at the RCIA, no one really knows about you, in other the places I posted this at.
But you matter to me, and everyone here at the RCIA
I can't modify this poll in anyway, but John Brown of Roof A Cide is not getting many votes it seems.
Hmmmm, so John Browne is more likely than I am to be in this roof cleaners Hall of fame? He is in these "other places" you posted this at, as you said? Posting in multiple places makes him a more likely candidate? Looks like this was a spur of the moment thought you had, not well thought out and not a real "Hall of Fame" for roof cleaners? I'm sure you knew you would be the winner. You got my vote! But I didn't base it on how many places you post at. I based it on who deserves to be in this fictitious Hall of Fame. Can you list these "Places" where I don't post and am unknown? The "other the places I posted this at." I'd like to visit these places and see all the posts John Browne and the other candidates have made. Plus, if these other places are of such value, I'd like to start posting on them too! I'm gonna go get something to eat. I've been alone for almost a month. My wife's mother lives in St Pete and has been in the hospital for about a month and my wife is her only living relative. I pressure cleaned for 3 1/2 hours at her house Sunday, to make it all look nice for when she gets out of the hospital. I'm outa' here! I know of all the roof cleaners, I have no place being considered a "Hall of famer" I need to get around more I guess and start posting on other sites, so that I can be one of the best too!

Looks like this poll started out with mixed up rules? You say you can't modify the poll, yet, that's exactly what you initially said you would do! Who wants to be part of a vote, where the rules are made and changed immediately? "IF there is anone I have missed youe feel should be added, simply write their name in, and why you feel they should be included. I will modify the poll to include them! "

I finally figured out HOW to edit the Poll Chuck. I had to go back to the Original first post in this thread, and do it.
I removed John Brown from Roof A Cide, he had zero votes anyway. I also added you
If I were to delete Lori and Rex for being vendors, I would also have to delete Bob from Pressure Tek, and Ron Musgraves, since he is also a Vendor.
Then, I would have also had to delete AC Lockyer from this poll, since he is very much a vendor, as well!
I would be uncomfortable deleting AC from this poll, as well as the other people who just happen to be vendors.

TO "JUST HAPPEN TO BE VENDORS, WOULD SET FINE WITH ME, IF THEY ARE ALSO ACTIVE ROOF CLEANERS. IF THEY ARE NOT ROOF CLEANERS, HOW CAN THEY BE CONTESTANTS IN THE "ROOF CLEANERS" HALL OF FAME?
Like I said before, it looks like this needed more thinking out and perhaps discussion, before it took off, for anyone to take it seriously?

Ain't it just like me to vote on an old dead subject!
Someone just emailed me and said this was over a year old and that it got little interest and only a weeks worth of postings.
Another "DUH" for me!

Heck, I do it all the time! If you sit and read the old threads on this forum, it is amazing how much roof cleaning knowledge is here. One day, I was reading an old thread, and responded. Then I realized that thread was well over 4 years old!

PWP is still open for business Chris. I was just there last week and had a pump on one of my pressure washers repaired and picked up a few parts. They actually seemed pretty busy. Rex would still like to retire at some point but the man is a machine. I can't ever see him retiring.

That's good to know Larry!
Rex is a machine, and guys like him will drop dead, if they stop working.
I accept done affluence of exteriors and they appear out fine. However, I accept a massive job and would like any suggestions on technique, equipment, pricing. I could do it myself but this one is big and I do not accept abundant acquaintance on this level.
