Since the RCIA is a dedicated roof cleaning forum, and number one roof cleaning website in the world in most roof cleaning searches on Google, it will be the best place to recognize the contributions made to the industry by the people listed. IF there is anone I have missed youe feel should be added, simply write their name in, and why you feel they should be included. I will modify the poll to include them!
And, if you are unfamiliar with the people already in the poll, and what they have done to merit inclusion in the Roof Cleaning Hall of Fame (RCHOF) pronounced Rickoff, just post your questions, and they will be answered.
Please, leave Politics and your personal feelings OUT of the voting. If someone does not seem to be getting enough votes, their names will be removed.
This is YOUR poll guys. Do not be afraid to give your opinions, and to list the way you feel your favorite candidates have helped out roof cleaners everywhere.
Larry Millette is my close friend. In fact, I love Larry! I will add him right away.
The only reason I did not is add Larry Millette isbecause it is quite well known Larry and I are very very close. I did not want it said "Chris only adds HIS friends.
LOL, I have known AC Lockyer many many years. he was my old competitor, we became good friends, and I sent him nearly ALL of my commercial roof cleaning leads. AC Lockyer was totally honorable, and fed me his warranty work, and other fresh leads here in my area, in return. In fact, I brought my old friend AC TO this industry. My DREAM was for AC and I to one day lead the RCIA.
But things did not work out as I hoped they would, I am very sad to say. Our friendship of many years has been severely damaged, perhaps permanately ?
Never the less, AC Lockyer's accomplishments certainly qualify him for inclusion in the roof cleaning hall of fame.
Same with Don Phelps. Our "fights" online were legendary, back in the day. Then, for awhile, we became pretty close. We haven't spoken to each other in many years. But I like Don Phelps, and can not ignore the many people he has taught, and his popularizing and greatly improving the Phelps Wand, that he freely shared with the industry. Personally, I don't use a wand, nor do I care for them. But many do. Don and I have some differences of opinion, but it's all good.
Plus, Don Phelps also has a dedicated roof cleaning forum, still actively helping to train roof cleaners, and answering their questions.
I am quite certain both Don Phelps and AC Lockyer will easily get elected, and rightfully so, to the Roof Cleaning Hall Of Fame.
I just added Larry Ron. And once the elections are over, I will create a Bio Page highlighiting that persons accomplishments, as well as provide descriptive text, and a link to their current commercial ventures, even if it is in direct competition to myself, or the RCIA.
Anyone who acheives elected status to the Roof Cleaning Hall Of Fame, will never be forgotten, for what they have done, for all of us.
Yes, I added Russ Johnson, because of the apparently tremendous acceptance of the Roof Snot he has unleashed on the roof cleaning world.
Roof Snot is proving to be a real game changing product, because not only is it totally chlorine stable, it is also a thickening surfactant as well that greatly increases the dwell time of the cleaning mix. Less run off means less chance of plant kill, and allows the use of Less chlorine!
I really plead ignorance here Ron. I just don't know. I have my own roof cleaning system, and don't buy from Rex and Lori, or any other distributor hardly at all, for that matter.
Lori, Rex and Diane are still running PWP. I was just there yesterday to pick up a few things. They have not sold as of yet. Still open. Business as usual.
