what kind of mixture are you using? that looks great.
Not sure what he's using in particular,..but pretty much anything butyl based, Purple Power, Castrol Super Clean,.Simple Green,Mean Green from the dollar store I think will even work.
PTstate sells a product called Gutter Grenade,..it is potassium hydroxide based I do believe,...and I may tru some of that this year,...just for the sake of it.
Right now though, I personally use Purple Power from Wal-Mart @$4.97 a gallon,..and you can cut it at least in half,..and even thirds when the weather is warmer.
Temperature when cleaning gutters is the key really,..if it's below 50-60 and no sunshine,..they can be tough to impossible.

We use gutter grenade from PT State it works great. Best to sell gutter cleaning along with a house wash. If the product runs on dirty siding it will leave streaks.
Our goal for this year is to sell more roof wash house wash combos.
Tom,..I personally include it a house wash,..it is part of the exterior after-all,... everything from the gutter down,..excluding decks,....Some guys do charge extra for gutters. Personal business plan I guess.
For roofs,....If they're really bad,..I will just do them for free on a single story roof job,,..no big deal really and it makes the job look so much better,..and people like free stuff.

Gutter Grenade here too! We also include it in our house washes. Extra benefit kind of "Seals The Deal".

That was quick, thanks guys. To be honest the last few years I just did a normal house wash and however clean the gutters came was it. I'm planning on kicking it up a notch and include it in our house wash.
Again, this is a Great way "To Seal The Deal" including this in a Roof cleaning or house wash price. Customers want more value for the Dollar. It only takes a few minutes and can be the diffrence between "Sell & No Sale".

AC the brush doesnt work, I was sold by the pics and idea too. I have it somewhere, A long soft bristle brush works best and holds more soap. The kind of brush that you would use to wash your car. The car wash brushes at depot are to stiff. I got mine from pep boys, an auto supply store.
@ Tom around here we have 3 story houses, They are a pita! The extending pole we use has the twist lock things. I think its 24 feet. The twist locks fail over time. I got mine from depot, cost I think it was 50 bucks. We need a new one already, Duct tape only works soo long!
EDIT: @ Jeff Temps kicked our butt on one of the last houses we did last year. Had to scrub the gutters 3 times! I wasnt happy with it but it wasnt comming cleaner. HO's were thrilled, they had their house washed before. We got 2/3 of the dirt off the gutters.

Mike we have a lot of really tall homes around here. Sometimes if were lucky we will spray our gutter cleaner on from a ladder and then hit the gutters with the long range pressure washer nozzle and they come pretty clean.
Other times weve just got to stretch out and get them!
We use a 24ft pole, 4 sided truck wash brush and an ethanol-butyl based cleaner. Ripper from Envirospec has this ingredient and does the job. we are going to try the potasioum hydroxide based f-13 this season.
@ Chris I do everything full strength, for gutter scrubbing. Dip the brush in the bucket and a gentle back and forth motion is required on the gutters.
@ Bill how that pole holding up for you? Where did you get yours from?
