Having a roof that is covered in moss and lichen not only ruins the curb appeal of your home, it is doing extreme damage to the shingles. Lichen is a very aggressive feeder on the shingles. Leaving it on the shingles will lead to major damage. While it is better to clean your roof before it gets covered in moss and lichen, Kleen llc can safely remove even the heaviest growth safely. This home was going up for sale in a week, and needed the roof cleaned. Having the invasive growth treated, and then wait for 6-8 weeks for it all to fall off was not an option. We treated the roofs, and then rinsed the dead moss and lichen off with water set at 75 psi.
If you have a roof that is showing signs of black streaks, or moss and lichen give us a call at: 616-914-9064
Looks great, I had one this summer that was horrible also, the home owner also wanted quick results, so I rinsed it with about the same psi as you did, but it took a long time. I am curious if you charged accordingly for that extra rinse time, and what we should charge for these horrible infested roofs like this. We have a lot up here in Central, Mi, and I dont want to lose money on these in the future. Please advise.
Best Regards,
Shaun

It does add time to rinse. We have it down where the rinsing is quite fast. You have to figure out how much time it will take to rinse, and charge for that.
Give the customer the choice, if they want it rinsed or not. We have done a few this year in Lake City that wanted the roofs rinsed.
