Shouldn't be that hard to get a simple spray pattern,..I, and many other guys use your basic everyday PW stainless nozzles in a tri-banger and they work fine. Must be something else going on there. What material are your nozzles made of? And what GPM is your pump, and what size hose are you using?

If your nozzles are good and sized properly it should work fine I would think. I would guess it's not the nozzles, but the pump/setup that is affecting spray pattern. Maybe not enough flow or pressure?

 Yes,..this is why I initially asked the OP what the nozzle is made from.  Some plastic and PVDF (Kynar) nozzles have been used by some guys a few years ago,..and the tip get frayed up and the pattern goes away.

   That nozzle is awesome I use it mainly for rinsing plants. But if I want volume, or if it's windy outside, I then use it for spraying the roof. puts out a nice solid stream able to maintain its integrity and distance even during windy conditions.

Delevan 5 gpm pump and 3/8 hose. got the nozzles that have four different sizes all in one

DEFINITELY what Raystown Roof Cleaning said. You need at least a 1/2" ID hose. Anything smaller will make your pump shudder and heat up and die. I use 1/2" ID hose and my pumps last 6-12 months and that's good enough. I could haul around a 5/8 - 3/4" hose and maybe get a few more months. Been there, done that, went back to 1/2" but 3/8" would be for a 2gpm pump. Many would poo poo a 2 gpm pump, but, from experience, I know you are only looking at perhaps another 20 minutes time on an average roof.
