So are the northern pumps not as good or just not up to the job?
Bill
The Northern Tool 12 volt roof cleaning pumps are, IMHO, among the very best 12 volt pumps made. They have continues duty motors, unlike the Delavans that will burn up, if you run them too long!
However, they are still 12 volt roof cleaning pumps, and I feel that air pumps are a better choice.
But, that is just MY opinion, and plenty of my veteran roof cleaning friends use them everyday.
If you do buy the Northern Tool 12 volt pumps, buy it PERSONALLY (do not use a company name), and take out the extended warranty. This gives you immediate in store replacement, for NON COMMERCIAL USE.
When it breaks (and all 12 volt pumps will), simply rinse all the bleach smell off of it, and take it back to the store, and swear that all you ever did with it is use it to pump water in your RV

Chris, what is the gpm and psi of the northern pumps? Do they have any like the flojet pentaflex 7gpm 80psi pumps?

They are large pumps, with motors made to run all day, with no time limit They are rated at 7 gpm and 80 psi, real beasts, with a new type pf pressure switch made by Honeywell!
