This roof in Livingston County, Michigan was cleaned by a Shampooing Contractor one week ago today. After the roof was rinsed thoroughly by a heavy rain, we went over the entire roof with our chemicals. It was amazing to see all the growth that was untouched by their equipment.
The pictures below show the results once it was spray. Any left over growth turned white when it was instantly killed by our chemicals. You can even see the track and swirl marks their machine leaves behind.

Speaking of shampooing, I got an interesting vm from the owner of a competitor R**f Sh*mpoo. He accused us of removing his signs and replacing them with our own! I returned the call and left him a polite vm that he is barking up the wrong tree and that it wasn't us. Our company lives by the Golden Rule "Do to others what you would want them to do to you." He hasn't called me back yet but I suspect the beautification police plucked his signs and we just happened to put our signs near the same area.
The guy finally called me back. We actually had a quit pleasant conversation versus anything confrontational. He understands it wasn't us plucking his signs. He explained he experiences the same frustrations we all do with municipal workers, competitors and even job blow citizen removing signs.

Tampa is full of roof cleaning companies, and we are "at war" with none of them! Most are good folks just like us, out trying to make a living cleaning roofs.
