We do not use hose reels anymore, but back when we did, these were the longest lasting swivels we ever used http://www.hdhudson.com/product-search/product-details/?id=170
They are fast and easy to rebuild too, if you order the rebuild kits.
Plus, they look really cool compared to the stainless steel hose reel swivels everyone else has, because they don't know about these swivels.
We bypass our hose reel and just use it for storage.
That's a good plan, and what Marcus Raif does. Kevin from Peak Of Perfection just sent me a PDF file with a drawing of a hose reel that has eliminated the inner manifold!
maybe- I got it about 2 years ago and just opened the box this season.. Pwp threw it in for messing up my order so bad... Then they added 90$ on my credit card a week later and some nasty old man called me and said I was some dumb young kid who didn't know what he was talking about and no one at his business would give away such a expensive piece (when I guess it was his daughter Lori? who doesn't seem to know the business from a cow lol.. So i figured I would try it since I was forced into paying for it... The thing started leaking within a week or so, right where to 2 pieces meet together to form the actual swivel part..

Maybe after 2 years, the gasket dried up ?
They do sell rebuild kits. LOL, Lori and her Dad Rex (the nasty old man) sometimes are not on the same page!
beats me! all I know is its leaking now, I may try a rebuild kit.. We do work in volume so the hose reels are key.. even if they leak after a year or so.. We usually have the hose out 3x a day.. The reel just makes it a little easier and neater in my opinion
We do not use hose reels , we wind the 250 ft 1/2 in hose in a figure eight on the trayler , takes the twists out , easy on , easy off the hose also connects directly to the air diophram pump , works great , very little to go wrong , thanks Chris Dabber
Lori is a great person allways trys to help you any way she can , extensive knowlege , be careful talking people down , I and alot of other people have been in this for longer than you have been alive
easy killer.. The only reason I said anything is in hopes to save someone from the 3 month hassle and theft that I had to endure.. Not only that but she came on the forums when I called her out and had an excuses longer than our roof cleaning hose..
Congrats... You have been doing this a long time...

I have often thought about buying that business as a way to get back to Florida...I fathom to think how well it would do with excellent customer service.

I was unaware that it was for sale Doug, but could not imagine you leaving Texas, as well as you are doing there.
Yeah I am not leaving here anytime soon....but would like to eventually as all my family are in Clearwater, as is my good buddy Larry. My understanding is that it's been for sale for a year or so I think, or at one time was.

I know you are originally from here in the Tampa Bay area Doug, and Larry would like it if you came back here :)
Maybe you could make a go of it on the supply side of things ?
