to have had the opportunity to teach so many of you how to clean roofs. I sit in amazement sometimes, at all the truly talented people who got their start in roof cleaning, here at the RCIA.
Most of you are doing very well, and are also dominating your local Google Searches. And, as well as many of you are already doing, I also see many of you continuing to "claim your keywords", by continuing to crank out promotional post after promotional posts.
THIS is what it takes to STAY on top, and I feel like I have taught you well.
Soon, and very soon, many of you will be faced with local competition beyond your wildest dreams. The best way to stop these new price cutting competitors is to control your local search results. Do a search for "roof cleaning tampa", and see what I mean. We pretty much own the first page!
Look at how well my BBB Listing, and my Yelp listing are doing ?
And remember, every spot your roof cleaning company occupies, is one less spot for your local competitors to occupy!
2 of our blogs are also one page one Google, because I never stop working, even as established as we already are.
Every roof cleaner who is serious about kicking butt, and taking names, needs both a free wordpress and blogspot blog, a BBB Listing, and a Yelp listing, besides a Merchant Circle and Show Me Local free listing.
NOW is the time to do this, if you haven't already.
Basically, it was forgotten by us, for several years. But, YELP has turned into a SEO Animal, and reviews on YELP seem to find their way into Google's Reviews, because Google trusts it!
You can have an endless supply of roof cleaning pics on Yelp, and then you can keyword load them as well!
If you DON'T Have a YELP Listing, make one! Then befriend me on Yelp, and get you some Juice!
There are also some YELP Secrets I could share with you, but they are for our Premium Members only. If you are a Premium Member, give me a call.
It is always on page one, or near the top of page 2, for the search roof cleaning tampa.
Guys, doing stuff like this will insure you of success, in the roof cleaning marketplace.
In Russia, if they were scared of you becoming too popular, they sent you to Siberia, or to a mental hospital, to shut you up.
There is NO Limit on how many websites/blogs you can have, and it is one way that we keep our local marketplace as safe from competitors as we possibly can.
Research has clearly shown that 72% of shoppers on the Internet seldom go past page one of Google.
So, the more of your pages that are on page one, the less chance you will have of a customer finding your cut throat competitors.
I too are very happy I ran into the RCIA and you on it , However I feel very stupid and dumb , when I hear you talking about free wordpress , blogspot blog , yelp listing , merchant cricle , etc etc . and I dont know what you are talking about , I have never had to work on computers and learn all the things you can do with it. LOL, I was told by a web guy that it was "too complicated for me".
That is the wrong thing to say to a stubborn SOB like me, so I taught myself.
W/O a good web presence, you will not do well in the roof cleaning business, for long.

Just wanted to personally reach out and thank you for everything I have gained from both you and your forum. I went through the SoftWash Systems formula for success and have learned a lot and am grateful to be a member there. But I feel so much more comfortable learning here as everything doesn't lead back to putting money in someone else's pockets. I am obviously in Hawaii, so logistically it doesn't make good business sense to limit my options to those only available on the continental US. Shipping to Hawaii is outrageous. If I was to buy a drum of their chemical surfactant it cost me almost double to get it here. And if I was to buy a Pre fabed $9000 skid it would cost an additional $1500 to get it here. I am currently running a Gen2 twin pump set up that I paid $1000 for and it included two 55 gal tanks and was ready to go the day it arrived. I have been on their forum for over a year and have never heard anyone using any other products for cleaning until I came here. I've since learned of TSP, Ultra Gain, Dawn and air driven systems from you and this group of professionals. All of these items I are readily available here on island and I am looking forward to learning more on how to properly mix and incorporate them.
Consumers trust the BBB, especially when you are a member, and also have a A Rating.
Yes, it does cost to join the BBB, but it is worth it.
I looked into BBB before. I don't remember the exact amount of $ they wanted for the priviledge of being listed on their site but it was a lot. I don't know how much they charge you Chris but it sounds like you have enjoyed a high return on investment. How about the other BBB members on the forum. Has everyone else found BBB to be worth the $? If enough people convince me, I may go back and reconcider BBB.

Mike who builds the Gen 2 set up you are using?
I learned everything needed to start cleaning roofs from this forum. Other than spending the money, learning the trade and finding the work. I gained the knowledge to get me going without buying fancy equipment.

Thank You Mike! We do have a Premium Membership that costs 129.00, and it does go into my pocket. I run the largest roof cleaning company here in Tampa. My family/employees bitch at me cause I spend 1/2 my life on this forum. They tell me we could be rich if I spent the time I do here on Apple Roof Cleaning instead!
Basically, the 129.00 we charge for Premium Membership "gets them off my azz", LOL
My Company, Apple Roof Cleaning, takes in much more in one month, then this place does in a year!
It is more of a "labor of love" for me Mike, and I really enjoy it!
Unlike some "forums" that are little more then Infomercials, I sell no chemicals or equipment, because I want my advice to be forever untainted. I always want to suggest the best chemicals and equipment to use, not what I happen to sell!
Chris that is exactly the response I expected from you. It is also the reason that I will become a premium member as soon as I finish this post. And Just so you know , I would be more than willing to pay a lot more to learn from someone as yourself that truly loves the work we do. I invested a good deal of money "over there" and I did learn a lot, but man you are spot on about the info-mercial. I understand he's a business man, but it never stops. That crap just totally sucks and rubs me the wrong way. There are so many sheep over there that don't even see it happening to them. They are literally being taken to the bank.
Hey Andy, I got that set-up from Bill at the Power Wash Store. It' has worked great for me, I did over a hundred homes last year and only had to replace two switches. Just make sure you get a back-up pump and some extra switches for the pumps and you have to turn them off when your not spraying for more than ten minutes or so. Feel free to shoot me a PM if you wan't to discuss in further detail.

Hey Mike,...this is nice to see,..a guy with only nine posts and able to offer advice and experience on equipment. To me that means you started in business and payed some dues and brought something to the table with you that you can offer up. So many people come these sites without ever have cleaned anything or really put any effort into it at all.

No need to pay any more Mike, your 129.00 premium membership includes all the one on one phone call support from me you want, besides the other Premium Member benefits.
Click here to become a Premium Member, and my phone number is 813 655 8777. Please don't call before 11 am Florida time (I need my Coffee), and I am usually up until 12.00 PM , 7 days a week.
Yes, I love roof cleaning, and I love helping people learn what I know. My Lungs are shot, so my roof cleaning days are over. But I live my life through the people I train, and that is my reward.
Currently, we don't have any RCIA Certified roof cleaners in the Aloha State. I will do my best to teach you all I know about cleaning roofs, no matter how long it takes.
I hope you will become the first RCIA Certified roof cleaner in Hawaii
We just Certified Richard from Edge Roof Cleaning in British Columbia, and Eric from Pacific Roof Cleaning who is in California was also certified last year, so we are growing out west.
Of course, we are trying to produce quality roof cleaners, not quantity.
No one here will ever try to sell you an overly complicated and overpriced softwashing skid, (then insist you also purchase additional expensive training just to use it) or expensive and questionable chemicals that just don't work as promised.
Thanks for the kind words. I figure as much as I have learned from the people on this forum as well as the other one. (of which I don't drink the cool-aid) I probably don't have much to offer, but I figure the least I could do is try to help someone else along the way when I can. I don't have all the answers, and I have learned a lot thru trial and error but usually nothing that comes easy is worth doing.
