I'm not Chris,..BUT DON"T USE pool shock made from Calcium H. S H is the only truly effective product for contractors. Higher PH cleans better,..lower PH disinfects better. In this work we are after more cleaning power than disinfecting. Yes,..S Bicarbonate, (Baking Soda) will enhance the effectiveness of bleach,..not sure if it will raise the PH,..but it will most likely stabilize it, and give it extra cleaning and bleaching power at the same time. I use it often jobs,...but if you want the true power of a bleach enhancer use TSP (TriS Phosphate),..I use this exclusively on gray shingles. I believe TSP will raise the PH of S H if that's what you're after.

You are absolutely correct about TSP Jeff, but few want to hear that, cause it is a little bit of a PITA to use.
