Hairy Scotsman: We do not even know your real name. We're not even sure your from Scotland. You half-assed filling out your profile. No phone number, no real name, no website, nothing. We'll have to assume your not a real company and have no real business license or insurance. The information we give could be potentially training you to cause irreprable damage to someones home. You could be right in our backyards. These are not the type of folk we train. You put the cart before the horse here son. If your seriously considering a professional business you are off to an awful start.
And I agree with "Who is Gary?". No one really knows for sure!

Well after months of research and getting the fat boy roof pump kit over here im finally ready to be let loose on the public. I have a couple of things that i know i have asked or read in the past but have forgotten!
I am away to do a tile roof thats walkable in parts and has a few light moss patches and some black/green algae streaks.
I was thinking about a 60/40 water/sh with uk gain equivalent at 1 1/2 litre (usa 1 1/2 x 44) for 50 gallons as i am looking to try and mask the smell as at the moment i dont have a masking agent(being rectified asap). The SH is 14/15 %.
If i am walking the roof should i spray from top of roof to bottom as i would if doing from a ladder? Will this amount of surfactant cause lots of foamy bubbles?? The house has full gutters all the way around and we are cleaning these out before we start.
It is possible to walk most of the roof and it can all be sprayed from a ladder. Would you recommend walking the roof to minimise overspray or am i better doing it all from the gutter line?
I will be joining RCIA as soon as funds allow it and a big thank you to all those that have helped with my questions over the last few months.
Would you guys be kind enough to give me any last minute tips and things to watch out for.
You bought a fatboy and can't get the money up to join here? You read for a whole month....that's dedication. Why are you asking questions on here and having to wait for a reply? Call Gary he will answer all your questions so you don't have to read. He is very helpful...........

Thanks for the replies but my original questions are still puzzling me and i am starting the job in 10 hours....I bought a pump kit and got it sent here and have made something up myself rather than buy a fatboy ready made. As you can imagine the shipping rates etc are a crippler and just dont have 120 bucks spare at this moment to join a forum but that will come asap. Who is gary by the way??
LOL..........make up your mind already did you buy a fatboy or not? $120 bucks...ok I'll give you 15 minutes for 120 over the phone. I am very upset if you lied about buying the fatboy I now suspect maybe you are not even reading! I can't imagine someone coming on here lying looking for free info and bouncing. You must call Gary for help...he is the administrator on here. Go to "list all users "and he is listed on there..scroll down a bit to find him. If you only got 120 i would spend it all on lotto...maybe scartch offs. But call Gary he is eager to help everyone and he is very knowledgeable about roof cleaning and stuff.
As you seem overly interested in whatever i have purchased i have included a link to the fat boy kuri tec kit i purchased..www.pressuretek.com/defakuteckit.html i hope this answers your question!lol
If and when i do join i hope everyone is as helpful as you !!
I tried your website and I get 404 errors. It would cost me thousands of dollars if this happened to me for even one day. Now, tell me I ain't helpful!!!! Cheers mate!
You bought a fatboy.....you didnt buy a fat boy you rigged somthing up.....now you bought a fatboy....geez im confused. Anyone can put up a link to a fatboy pump dont mean you bought it. You all over the place dude, but it sure is a good time. Chris asked me to let him back on Art, so I gave him another chance.
I am currently changing host server as i am away to host my own site and others i am working on hence the reason my website is down for a few days. As to being professional i fail to see what relevance filling out details on a forum is in regard to my professionalism. I understand you guys want to keep somethings for yourself and only to members of the paid forum and i respect that and fully agree. However the questions i asked were fairly simple and was looking to get things clear in my mind before i did my first job...something all you guys had to do once . The response i got from 1 or 2 members was to be honest nothing short of insulting and completely the opposite of the other forums and indeed this one when i was asking questions before i bought the FAT BOY. I can assure you i am from the UK but if you feel the need to check up then bash on....For a forum who is looking for members to pay to join some of you are doing your utmost to put people off with the unhelpful comments .

Thanks Art. Been busy. Lots of rain, humidity and overcast days. The perfect storm for Gloeocaspa Magma and algae covered vinyl siding!!! Plus I saw a newbie getting "hazed" and couldn't stay away. Hang in there Hairy Scott Guy ... The bruises will heal but the emotional scars will never go way.

Look you came on here and said you have been researching for months, roof cleaning is pretty simple so if you don't know it in an hour I'm worried about you. You say you have some kind of pump so good luck. If all you have is $120 bucks to spare I would say you have a problem because you need to have some money behind you. Since your feelings got hurt pretty easy on here I would say to go into another line of work...this is simple work but you gotta man up at times. Now I will answer these tough questions you forgot the answers to after years of reading.
Soap makes bubles!
Stay off roofs and Ladders as much as possible!
Spray top to bottom, bottom to top or side to side...whatever you like!
Last minute tips......look both ways before crossing the street, wash your hands before eating, don't run with scissors, lock your doors when leaving your home, don't drink and drive!
There you go! Don't say no one ever gave you anything.
Ha Ha... a newbie getting hazed....that i like!.. Im a tough wee guy..im sure i can handle it!..The 120 dollars was mentioned as that was approx the fee for joining which is fair but as mentioned previously im a newbie to softwash and need to watch where the pennies go until i get up and running.....im sure many of you were the same. How that has been interpreted as i only have 120 dollars to spend on the business is down to someone not reading properly!! Charlie thank you for your words of wisdom...Ray i will stick in as if thats the best hazing they can do i better stick around to show them how to do it properly....lol....Ed..Thanks for the info re my site but i was aware of this and its not costing me thousands a day.....yet! Cheers all posters for making me laugh!!
ps...Did you really think my feelings got hurt.....bless!!

Pat, I wish I read your "Last Minute Tips" before I picked up that pair of scissors!
