So I looked at a house this morning that is right on the lake. Boathouse also. Primarily Lichen and moss everywhere and no gutters. I do alot of work in this lake and don't wont to tarnish my rep. by getting the love in the lake.
It doesn't take much to kill the moss so I'm wondering if I can use a really mild mix maybe 5sh/50 gallons of water and not pollute the lake. Anybody have experience with lake fronts?
We do a ton of lake front homes in the Poconos as well as NJ and I will not touch boat docks or boat houses with any sh or any other chemical for that matter. Too much to lose.

I did one with moss that was at least an inch thick. Wasn't on lake. I stood on the ridge and shot down at it with my 0 degree tip using water. It came off surprisingly easy and slid down and off the roof. I was able to wash off 95% of the moss just by doing that. Then I sprayed the shingles with mix. If I wouldn't have knocked most of it off ahead of time I would have used a butt load more of SH.
