I was honored to be asked to help with moderation of this forum but, recent events have made me think that some changes are needed with the administration and moderation of this forum. I hope that posting my concerns and suggestions do not lead to me losing this position.  In my opinion, an administration/moderator needs to have an unbiased opinion And from what I see, this is not the case here. Personal grudges from the past are the driving force of a good deal of the moderation and deleting of posts and "banning" members Here. i understand that our members should be protected from "bashing" In promo posts and that doing so is cause for posts being deleted or edited as Chris stated in a recent post. This should hold true for all members and not just "a chosen few".  A perfect example of this is in a post made by Ron Musgrave. He was clearly making a promo post to promote an upcoming event But, the post turned out to be a "bashing" of both Ron's event and Bill Booz's integrity. the moderation/ admin team cannot be a cheerleader for some and the leader of a witch hunt for others all based on their personal opinion of someone or a group of people, we need to let those feeling aside for the good of the forum. When I first joined this forum, it was full of valuable information and help from a bunch of guys all working in the same trade. It has since dramatically changed into a hen house full of big opinions about who and what is right and wrong!  Lets get back to learning, teaching and networking, that's what a forum should be about! i don't want to offend with this post but, I feel something needed to be said. moderators and administration should act in the same manor that they expect the members to act. I think that this is the reason so many valuable past members has stopped posting on this forum.  Like someone suggested, posts should not be deleted unless they are using offensive language or bashing another member in promo posts. Maybe more than one member of the moderation team should have to decide if a post warrants being deleted so cooler heads prevail.  Again, I'm not trying to offend but just get things done on this forum in a fair and unbiased manor.

In the interest of peace, I will not go into detail, but i totally agree. Perhaps if some members would quit blaming everything on certain people with no proof a lot of this BS would disappear.

I think Ed,Mike and yes Art one of these guys should be a moderator. Why? These guys are busy,experianced business men. They are also regular guys who know B.S. when they see it and don't mind saying so. I have said there should be a vote for moderators even with term limits if Nessacary.....why are we avoiding putting one of these "MEN "on the job? Lets get this board back to reality!

  Yup! Eric started this thread out, in hopes of straightening a few things out.

Already it has taken on a bashing of another person, this time it's Gary.

I happen to have a great deal of respect for Gary and while I have heard those through the years say they want him gone, I have not seen anyone say "And I will take on Gary's workload" Or that they would even know how to do his job?

After the group hug, maybe this thread, which has been hijacked, can get back on track, with the original post.

I used to be probably the top fighter here and big on bashing AC and others in the group of followers he had.

You may have noticed, I'm not fightin' anymore. I don't feel well enough to waste time on that anymore and I got old, like all at once!
