You guys at Ugly Shingles have to recognize you are in a position that is a conflict of interest. It would show some modesty if you stepped away from the position that you have. I don't doubt that you may be very good at it. But, everyone on this forum that does not agree with you is not a fool.
I have been pm'ing you for a month and ahalf to be on the map for RCIA certified roof cleaning contractors but you have not responded. When I check in MY service area to see how well I show up. Your landing page telling everyone you have a crew ready to go shoes up. So it creates competition for me. It seems reasonable to me that your position would be questioned by thinking people. Its unreasonable to accuse anyone here of attacking you.
Its nothing personal. I know you bring a lot to the table.

About 13 years ago I was in real tight with Wolman deck stains. My Wolman guy was friends with the guy at Cabots. Cabot I believe came out with a 5 year guarantee on their oil stains. He asked them how they could do that. They knew there was no way the stain would last that long. He said they did it to sell alot more for more money and what few would remember or do anything in the following years would be small compared to the sales.

The premise that Cabot used, I believe is used with many products and services.
If every Spray and $orget product had to reimburse every person who was disatisfied with their "wait 3 months and it will be clean or we hope you "forget" where your receipt is" when the roof really never gets fully clean, they'd go broke. Most of these gimmicks rely on the Cabot theme.
I did not see the Ugly Shingles original post, but if I wanted to offer a lifetime warranty on roof cleaning, I could.
I would just have a maintenance service contract and for whatever fee I wanted, go back every 3 years or so and hit the roof again.
If the customer ever called and said he saw black, I'd go back! { That rimes! } Like once you go black, you never go back, but that's something different I think?
