Can anyone explain why Dan Bergman has this particular position? Is it like paid Adwords?

It's a family member, who decided about 2 years ago to jump on the "Bergman Pressure Cleaning" name wagon.

I have advertised since 1989 here and online for about 12 years.

He is having an easy ride to the top, using "Bergman"

I asked him not to to that, but to use either just Dan's Pressure Washing or a ficticious name, but he stubbornly said "It's my name and I'm gonna use it"

I just don't understand how he could get above me on Google, after my being with Google for all these years?

Is there a trick to it?

I am largely oblivious to online marketing.

My approach, all through the years is to get on Google Places, Yahoo.com, Manta and all the free things out there. I am on page one more than once for each area I work, but do not understand how Dan got above me for Charlotte County?

Any ideas?

Chuck it looks like your on top organically and he is 2 below you. Am I missing something?

#1 is good. Sometimes #2 or 3 can be better. It's more of a "sweet spot" compared to #1

I never have given him a +1. I am no longer one bit angry with him, that's all over.

I just don't like seeing him rate above me in Google, when he's only been in business a couple of years.
