Hey i am just voicing my opinion, this is a forum where we all talk to get things out in the open. If I am wrong with my words I will say I am sorry. I have stat counter and there are people that find me on the maps so how do they know what is going on if we dont get this fix.

From an earlier post above. And this is my LAST post. Just don't want you to be confused.

Just as a friendly reminder, NOBODY had their logo on the map. There was an RCIA emblem on every state and county that has a Certified Cleaner. Then, and NOW, when the location is clicked, it takes you to that members website. NOT Uglies. Whatever caused this, unknown at present, it is a blanket error and NOT directed at any specific company or person.

I know that but ulgys logo should NOT be in my county. I was certifited by RCIA not ulgys roof cleaning.

There is no doubt that The Uglies have a lot of talent, I will throw clever in there too. I dont understand a lot of things when it comes to the matrix of webs, links, coding, etc. I'll go out on a limb an assume Im not alone. When you couple in the fact that they have a nationwide agenda you can see how everyone would be up and arms. Members paid good scratch to be on that directory. Whoever took the money for the directory owes it to the members to start asking questions, like immediately. Until then its kind of hard to keep silent. Are they really trying to help RCIA, Chris Tucker, and its members, or is this all in their own self-interest? I would like to know. I hate the feeling of being taken advantage of, and so does everyone else. Did everyone foot the bill to help them start a national campaign?

I agree with you Ed. They may not have been paid with money but, they certainly got a whole lot of value in what they were doing. In hindsight, I guess they should not have been in the map hosting position because it creates a huge conflict of interest not only for the other cleaners in Michigan but nationwide. I guess, the map should have been hosted by RCIA rather than a company who is looking for franchises nationwide while we minions foot the bill! I am by far not website expert but, have learned a great deal since I took over administration of my own website.

All I can say is WOW.

Between being extremely sick and out of town taking care of personal business, I have been unable to sign on to see all this bullshit. We were actually in the process of duplicating the RCIA map for use on the Ugly Shingles web site when a shit storm erupted on my end and was unable to finish it. The RCIA map was going to be reverted back to normal once the process was finished. Regardless, the map has been corrected and is back up and running.

Their directory is powered by the RCIA so of course it is doing well. I don't think they have any evil intentions guys but do agree that Ugly Logo next to RCIA Members Websites needs to go! Bob and Steve have done a lot for the RCIA w/o charge.

I think we all own them the common decency of the benefit of the doubt before we rush to judgement ?

Think about this ? The RCIA Forum is their main link and what powers their website. If that link were severed, they would be funked!

Oh OK. So your duplicating the map to have all us in there with the ugly logo. I don't get it. It wasn't something you could of done offline?

The adjustments were actually made offline and published for testing purposes. The RCIA logos were never supposed to be altered. However, a simple typo caused a glitch which confused most of you which lead to this "party".

The map is being created for SEO purposes. We have separate pages for each major city in the United States that we get calls off of all the time. The map will eventually represent early city and state. If we get a call that we can't handle, the lead gets posted on HERE which benefits most of YOU.

It's all very simple....

So if changes were being made that affect all of us members shouldn't we be notified? Why is map being duplicated and put on your site?
So are you still in charge of administration, there were comments made here and in a different thread that say you are not even doing this work anymore?

I say thanks to mike and who ever else noticed this small problem, they are our watch dogs and we appreciate them! Thanks to Ugly shingles for fixing the problem and I hope the personal problems you were having are fine now. In the future maybe when somethings are being done and a problem comes up we can reach out to Gary so he has some knowledge of it. Now its Super Bowl Sunday lets get some heroes ready and I'm picking the 49ers

Lol!!!!! This reminds me of when Gary helped me get my signature to link to my website which was working and then several months later I find out my signature went to rcia. Wonder how that happened????? Also after approx 8 promotional post on here I never got a single lead wonder why that happened??? yes ugly sent me a couple of leads mostly small far away jobs they did not want. Thats why I have not posted any more promo post or bothered to get certified.

Eric you might not receive the answer your looking for. It looks like they are trying to get the franchise going. Personally if a person buys into a franchise especially for roof cleaning and power washing I think they are just throwing money out the window. But hey that's just me.

Larry If I was you I would start posting and promoting myself on here again. I would say last year I got about eight calls from people saying they found me on this website....and thats just the ones who bothered to mention that. H/O are deff. using and searching the web for the problem on their roof, guys Like Ed,Mike,Art and others that are up on this are really seeing benefits.
