I just ordered a 8gpm cold water machine today from pressuretek.com. Bob is the best i got hooked up with all the right parts to hook her up as soon as it gets here. I have my second trailer waiting for this machine. My plans are to move my 5.5 gpm hot/cold to my second/spare trailer and put the 8gpm on my 7x14 everyday trailer. Basically having two set ups for roof cleaning and power washing. I will be trying to run two crews this yr starting at the end of march.
I just bid an apartment complex today and it looks good so far. I will most likely know at the end of the month if i got it or not. When I do get it i will try and plan it for July or August.
Mike if you get the job. Try to do it before flower planting season. I have done a few condo's and the flowers are the biggest pain in the ass of the hole job. People complain more about the flowers then anything. Good luck

Mike good luck with the apartment complex. Congrads on the new machine makes sure to share some picts.. Bob is awesome I wont go anywhere else. I wish Bob dealt with air because I had a night mare dealing with another dist.
Thats what i ordered ( the skid mounted version). Now we will be able to knock out some of these larger projects even quicker. I am ordering another surface cleaner to go along with the new skid.

Good stuff Mike. I may step up to a 10 GPM for my next purchase this spring. I know a guy that is doing $1M+ annually in this business and he swears by them.
I would rather have 2 8gpm machines then 1 10gpm machine. Once you move to 10 gpm you really should use 1/2 " hose instead of 3/8". To me that is too much weight to be dragging around for 8+ hrs.
I meant a 10 GPM in addition to my 8, not to replace it. The guy I mentioned gave me a demo of his rig at dinner one night - I don't recall 1/2" hoses but I'll check on that. If I can't run a 3/8 hose on a 10 GPM, then I'll stick with the 8GPM machines. Thanks.
Well the machine was delivered yesterday and of course there is snow on the ground and just around 10 degrees out with the wind. I am shocked how lite and small it is. I already moved my other machine and that was a bitch. I just have to plumb both up and I'm all set for the season. Hopefully I can be done putting together the trailers by the end of next week so I can take a short break and start doing some marketing.
Mike what are the dimensions of the skid? And I am still amazed how much I learn on the RCIA. I also have a apartment complex to bid on. But I had never thought to do it in July or August. I'm glad I read this post again.
i think its 3ft by 20 or 24 inches it looks like a baby compared to my hot water skid. As far as the complex cleaning it would just try and schedule it in the slow time this way you know your gonna have a nice income coming in that time.

Mike what size tank are you hooking that PW up to..
i havent decided yet. Its either going to be 100 gal or 250 not sure if i want to replumb everything on just one thing. I will see once i get going on it.
Mike, we use a 250 and still run out of water. 60 orafice tips are great for house washing with that machine. We use a quad banger with 15/10, 15/20, 15/60 and 0/60 for major versatility. and the ol xjet.
