The problem with an air set up is when the compressor dies so does the air pump. Switched this year from an air set up to a 12 volt set up. I have been on the same 5850 since April and it is still going strong. It also does double duty (house washing and roof cleaning) It has a lot of roofs and house washes under it belt. I too stopped using the titan swivels and just use quick connects. I find the manifolds on the titans fail and I'm not paying to have them replaced. I have all 5/8 hose for the inlet side and 1/2 keritek hose for the spray side. I have no problems with getting 30-35 ft. Frankly that's all you need.
Tell it how it is straight shooter!
@Mike T As soon as I read your problem I thought air, their has to be a small leak on the intake side. Check all of your hose fittings, then run your hose all the way out, (on ground level). Drop into a bucket of water and run for 3 minutes, see if your shooting full power. If your shooting full power on the ground, and then shooting full power on the roof, your problem is fixed. If your shooting full power on the ground, and then can't sustain full power on the roof, I would say the pump can't handle the column pressure.
You can also test this by going up two different heights, notice how far 10ft high shoots, and then go up 28 and see the difference, if their is a difference I would say the pump.
The bandit is 7 gl a min right? Get a stop watch and fill up 2 5 gl buckets and see if you are at 7 gl a min. fill one up and see if you are at 2 gl in the other bucket if not there is a problem some where. battery might be going bad how old is it?
Air compressors just don't die for one thing,(Gotta keep gas in them Mike) They are pretty bulletproof with simple once a year maintenance. I've had mine for about 5 years, only issue I had was the gas cap wasn't venting. Saying you're done when the compressor goes down is like saying, as soon as you're battery dies, you're done spraying,...well duh,..keep the battery charged would be your reply to me.
Also i have my battery hooked up so that it automatically charges when the power washer is running. I also like the fact that you just flip a switch and you are in business, I am not on most jobs so the easier the problem is to fix then the less time i have to be out in the field.
There has been so many more posts questioning why someones 12v isn't working or why the pump is dying sooner than expected,..than there are questions about air. Sure the 12v is fine, but still not as simple trouble free as air,..the posts here over the years has proven that.
I know all about chlorine gas causing issues,..But Mike it is your fault,..chlorine gas doesn't attack my compressor or other major components because of simple design,..which was done by me,...and can be done by anyone.
I took a bunch of pictures of my rig recently with my phone for the purpose of sharing some ideas. They are on my phone and need to be transferred and resized. I'm going to do it soon, but you will see how you keep chlorine gas from the compressor by simple design.

The first yr I stop running the Love though the reel. I always pull it all off the reel and just hook it into a quick disconnect bypass. I just use the reel for storage now and it works great. If you need any help this winter with setup we can meet up and I will show you what I did and you can get some ideas.
