RE: craigslist ad in my area. anyone else?

Hank, If this guy was in your backyard, would you still respect him? This guy is stupid to put this crap on craigslist. He's just looking for extra income in the winter. It sounds to me like many members on here don't care as long as this guy ( or a bozo like him) isn't in YOUR area.

I've had this happen in my backyard and I I wasn't to happy but you "can't help stupid". Eventually he will be gone.

Unfortunately, the appearance of excessive profits breeds excessive competition. Suck to be tossing the numbers out like he does, makes it seem like this is nothing but a easy money making business. I've got a $2800 payroll due this week that says otherwise....not to mention my SH, insurance, fuel, marketing, clothing, vehicle expense, dues, etc.

Like I said buffalo is not known for having money { unless I'm mistaken } and locations with not much money don't really get their roofs cleaned. If he is just Roof cleaning { you said he's 67 } then he may have realized he's got to do alot of traveling and is getting out. For his first year he sure threw in alot of money with that trailer and having it lettered. No one can complain about "people in their back yard " Jersey has new guys sprouting up each week just ask Mike and Ed.

Yes, I respect him for his character and success in business. Again, I didn't agree with him putting the numbers for everyone to see on craigslist.

Just like you, he is a member of roofcleaningforums.com. He covers plants, brooms moss off roofs and puts crap on craigslist. I know many members on RCIA are also members of other roof cleaning forums. Would an RCIA member be able to post this garbage on craigslist without getting abuse from other members? NO!
