What to use to clean a roof?

None! You need a dedicated roof cleaning pump NOT a pressure washer my friend! No one here uses a pressure washer to clean roofs.

The roof cleaning chemical, if run through a pressure washer will freeze it all up! Downstreaming the chemical will not work either.

Invest 100 dollars in your future, and join the forum, it will pay for itself many many times over.

but ibought some powder they said I could put on with a garden hose sprayer, then use low pressure to rinse. Only 1k psi required. Seems pretty safe.

As Chris said do it right and learn the right way NO PRESSURE, in fact its easier than pressure washing and no damage

Ive also heard people use bleach, but it dries the shingles out. I don't have insurance so I can't risk damage

You are so confused my friend, and we have all been where you are now. ANY pressure will damage a shingle roof, especially 1000 PSI!

The shingle makers suggest bleach, it does not dry the shingles out!

Yes, it does, and the gutters go crazy. "Thou shalt not kill" is a good creed to live by biggrin

We do try and rinse the little fellers off, but sometimes it does kill them. I do feel bad for the Frogs, really I do!

The powder I bought said it was plant and animal friendly...wont kill frogs. But bleach will? Also, is it legal to let bleach go in the ground? What kind of PW should I get? Also, how do I get around having insurance? I mean some customers Will ask right? If I say I don't have it, I probably wont get the work....can I photoshop a copy of someones?

Middle east? No sir! When I sold Confident, it was to get into industrial hydroblasting. Its had its ups and downs in the last year and a half, but we're cranking along. We clean for drill pipe manufacturers using upwards of 20k psi and roughly gpm machines.
