I am a roofing contractor from Northern Illinois. We work throughout the country in both residential and commercial arenas. I recently was noticing the amount of streaking building up in my neighborhood and thought what a perfect opportunity to capitalize my companys great reputation and utilize some of my staff cominig off the road. Although We replace between 750-1200 roofs per year, I have never worked on cleaning roofs. I want to do this right as my reputation as a roofing contractor will be at risk if Im not sure to carefully study and proceed. A few questions for some of you Vets on here:
Powerwashing vs Softwashing, Is it just about pressure or are the chemicals all together different. Ive read its best to softwash with chlorine and TSP
Equipment, is getting started with a traditional pressure washer on low PSI sufficient or is there a place to look into acquiring specific equipment
Training Programs. Besides the internet is there any type of certifications or training programs I shoudl look into.
