I am admittedly one of the biggest doofuses when it comes to this whole interweb thing (personally I think its just a fad), however i have seen the power behind a nationally link. Great friend of mine did a Groupon last year, which was a miserable failure. The one huge benefit which did arise from that campaign was a huge surge in his search engine rankings.

With that in mind, we just signed up for radio ads in the spring. One of the added benefits to this campaign is web exposure on "I Heart Hadio" and rotating webpage ads on all the Clear Channel radio pages in our market plus linkbacks to my site from all of their directories. . it was $275 per week for about 60 radio spots, plus the regional, and national exposure on the web.

Just thought i'd pass it along.

Good luck Ray and keep us in the loop. I hope it makes you no less than $143,617.00. (I used a scientific calculator to figure out how much $ I want you to make from this campaign).
I think myself if it were 20 years ago, would I be doing as well as we are. We don't hit the streets to get jobs. Ray does this and he is very successful at it. All of our eggs are in the internet basket. Customers find us. We make ourselves findable when they need cleaning.

I think this might be a fairly low cost gig to help boost rankings. I've got SEO guys who want that much just to tweak links.

I would starve to death if I waited for these guys to find me, so I venture forth with pens, scratch pads and blank estimates in hand!

Three things. #1 I think that is a great price for the readio ad and for that reason alone do it! #2 Thompson Roof Cleaning comes up right away and I'm on Long Island! #3 I wish I was twenty years younger and went drinking with Ed Thompson,he's got a great sense of humor!

Joining the BBB will give you a very trusted link, and so will a link in the Yahoo direstory. BOTH of these cost money, but will greatly improve your SEO. The radio ads are not long term links, they may help a little, temporarily, but not long term.

The station is a talk radio format, if that makes any difference. I'm not counting on the ads ginning up a ton of business neccesarrily but I think the back links would be worth the $$$.
