Opinions are really pretty varied on this one. I have and will continue to do partial cleanings in certain, special cases. What usually happens is that the gm that you could'nt see growing yet continues to grow and shows up on other areas of the roof within a year or two. And since I have a set minimum price for cleanings, it ends up costing them far more money in the long run to do it his way. I tell them we can chase this stuff all over the roof for several years, or we can just do it the best possible way (1 Time) and be done with it. Plus, they get an outstanding warranty with the proper cleaning.
I clean what they want, but when they see that a $450.00 whole roof job costs $275.00 for one side, they usually get the whole roof cleaned.
Good call Al and some others that went the same way. Tony it's simple no warrenty without the whole roof. The non-visibly infected side should be priced about 35% the cost of the visibly infected side. We always bid it both ways and let the client decide.
