Roof Cleaning by A&E was contacted by this homeowner in Red Lion, PA 17356 to perform a roof cleaning. Their homeowner's insurance company was threatening to cancel their policy unless they replaced their roof or had it professionally cleaned to remove the moss. Using our non pressure cleaning method, we were able to remove the black streaks and kill the moss that was infesting the roof at a fraction of the cost of a roof replacement.
The after picture was taken about 2 weeks after our cleaning. A good bit of the moss had come off at this point, another couple of good rain storms and the rest will be washed off too.
This just another example of the fine work you perform at Roof Cleaning by A & E. This York County, PA home will be the talk of the neighborhood. Great transformation. I'm sure this homeowner is happier now.
Serving the Pocono and Lehigh Valley(Carbon, Lehigh, Northampton, Monroe, Pike and Wayne Counties), PA community as well as both Warren and Sussex Counties of New Jersey
Hey Eric, moss is irritating because there aren't instant finished results,...but it doesn't really take that long for it to disappear once it's fried by the mix. I think the Sun does as much as the rain does in the aiding of it's disappearing. After it's already dead the Sun just bakes it and breaks it down more and it just flakes away,..and then rain helps break it up and wash it away as well.
I always find ways to do drive-bys to check these jobs out periodically. After some of the lichen covered roofs I've seen clean up,..I am pretty confident it disappears. But lichen can take a few months to completely go away sometimes.

Yes, I like the satisfaction of instant results! I always include in my contracts that moss and lichen may take 60 to 90 days to be completely removed because of their root system. Fortunately, this job is close to my home so, I can get by ther often to check the progress.
