My 5 yr warranty is working out just fine. We actually win out alot over the guys who offer a 1 or 2 yr warranty. I guess to each his own. What works for someone in one area may not work in another.

 I sell against 5 year warranties all the time. You can NOT give, and honor, a 5 year warranty down here, especially on a tile roof!

Even before Mallard, there were companies in Florida giving 5 year warranties. Here is how they worked. They would charge 1250.00 for a roof others are now doing for 650!

So, when they had to come back in years 3 to 5, no problemo !

Now, we are lucky to get 650.00 for the same tile roof, and we can't afford to come back in years 3 to 5 (if it takes that long) for 1/2 of 650.00 (325.00) !

One reason why Mallard was sold so often, it has changed hands 4 times I know of!

 I offered a 2 and 5  never sold a 5 but I was going to bid in having to come back once. Thinking the 5 would blow away the competition. Havent sold 1 yet.
