First I am new, I have used the search button and I have learned a lot but came up short on how most people are useing a tablet in thier marketing. I am looking to build a slide show, few vids and a gallery of before and after work. Pointers any one?
I don't use a tablet either, but I think the ones that do just give it to the HO to look at while they are outside doing the estimate. Seems to work for some.
Get some pics first. There are some very user friendly sites like www.animoto.com which allow you to make interesting videos from still pics. You can hand your tablet to the homeowner and let them druel over your work as you scope out the project.
We use tablets for everything from communicating scheduling between my sales manager and techs and I so we are not over booking and getting confused. Use the Google Calender and whoever needs to see it can. Also it is good for running cc's and doing commercial quotes instantly as long as you have a printer with you. BTW?? Has anyone elses' business seemed to have exploded this year??? I have never been this busy ever!!! We have quadrupled our service from last year. Working 6 and 7 days a week and subbing out to others I trust. Good but stressful too. 400k already and still going?? Hope it is not a fluke year!

The company I was building with over the past year we used google cloud based infratructure so everyone could colaborate in the field and all data being stored and modified esp. calanders and everyones schedules was great but using tablets for high volume data input or processing has its limits. Great for browsing but data input suks, the glare from sun/lighting is counter productive. A notebook laptop works better. Albeit Working high end Manhattan Park ave jobs is far from roof cleaning, a tablet may work for some, but a high gloss/resolution picture book may work better for the clientel than fancy tablets etc. promotoinal material needs to be low tech and striaght foward. Technology has its limits
I use an iPad with a "keynote" presentation when the time feels right. I have multiple presentations...some for commercial, some for residential, some for roof. Sometimes I use it, most times I don't.

Thanks for the info. As I stated I am still new to the business and my pictures are limited if any one has some they would share that would be great and again thanks for the input.
John, If you use an iPad, when you sink it with your computer while charging. It will copy your photo folders to a specific folder on your iPad. You can easily add music and convert it to a slide show presentation on the iPad. BTW the video on my signature was done with animator... Nice profile pic.
