Paul,

You're welcome. If you get the Delavan pumps make sure you wire them as per the specs that you can get from Bob at PT. Also, he has a video on how to wire them. Bob is a world of information. Never be shy about asking questions. The search button on here is a valuable tool for not just newbies but for all of us. You could always step up later to other pumps as recommended by my RCIA brothers. I don't use that term(brothers) lightly.

Eric its weird. My one truck has a pump that keeps ticking. Others have burned up after one roof. I bought a lot of pumps this year, and the same amount of pressure switches too.

Bob says to by 12/3 wire from HD. You only use thr black and white. The strands are many and fine like angel hair. It makes sense that this kind of wire makes a better connection. The bottom line is that none of these pumps were meant to handle constant head pressure from 2nd and 3rd floor roof cleaning. I would really like a true bypass pump like the 2gpm pump I bought from tractor supply. If anyone knows of one, let me know.

Bob is right about the wire because the finer the wire, the more amperage it can carry.  So your pump runs better and the wires do not get warm.  Look at the wire on a car battery.

I do not know where you get your limit switches from but I buy mine from Mouser Electronics for $2.17 ea.  For a Delavan fat boy and a 2.1 gpm flo jet the part # is Omron Limit Switch V-15-2C26-K.

So far no problems with the compressor. It's been running like a charm. Mine doesn't get as much use as yours I'm sure but so far so good. Where did you order the recoil from? I always like to get something before I actually need it. If I replace something, I just buy 2 of them now so I always have a backup handy.

Trust me, the recoil WILL break! The store gave me the number to their parts supply place
