What is the process for applying the roof coating? Is it sprayed on , rolled on, or just spread and mopped around? Is it thin or thick material? How much is in each of the 32 drums? Just curious.
We have to hand brush each of the little seams, If any are bad we pull them up and put mesh back down and recoat. Then it will get 2 spray coat of elastomric product. It is THICK stuff, i just spent 10,000 on a pump to spray it out the 55 gl drum, and pump it 40 ft up the roof. We then bought 800 ft of spray hose and just go to town. It will take about 4 to 6 weeks to finish with 4 to 5 guy. I have 2 more days of pressure washing to go.
Excellent job Eric. Love the video. Thats a lot of metal. I wouldn't mind cleaning it but I'm out on the coating. $10k for a pump to spray it on. OUCH!!! Tom is right. Hope you get more jobs to use it on. Keep up the GREAT work Eric. I see a Vacation in your future. :)

Thanks Larry! 10K for the pump will equal a great payday at the end. Plus, The general contractor will hopefully make me his go to guy for future work in this area. He contracts jobs all over the east coast and gets spread thin at times so, it will beneficial for him and I both, to have a contractor he can call on to do this kind of work for him. We already have our family vacation booked to Florida in November and then I forsee a Hawaii vacation for me and the wife. After the snow plowing season! LOL
Nice work, way to land this baby! Definitely setting the standard for us PA guys.
Thanks Dan! It was the power of Google that lead this job to me. He told me he was searching Google for roof cleaning in PA and my name kept comming up. LOL
Eric, would you have been able to rent that pump instead of paying 10 g's up front. Im sure you have thought about it if it was possible but im just wondering. Nice size job by the way. That will be a good one for the resume'.
This is interesting to say the least. I can't speak for others but now I'll be doing a google search of elastomeric roof coatings just out of curiosity. How in tarnation did you figure out productivity and coverage rates? No need to answer that question. It must have been a challenge. You are single handly taking roof cleaning to a new level. You deserve a lot of credit for this.

Thanks Mike. The pump needed is a specialty pump and is not available to rent around this area. It hooks up and pumps from a 55 gal drum, then is able to pump the material up 40ft to the roof. I own several airless Graco pumps used for commercial painting but, none of them could handle a product that is as thick as this roof coating. I plan on using it more after this job by contracting more jobs from this contractor. So, I think it will be a good addition to my arsenal of tools. LOL
