Also....That top portion acts like a ski-slope and shoots water off the the lesser pitch. Its likely the Garbrel is getting near zero direct rain/water on it, other than a very cursory sprinkle. In fact if you look at the "after" picture, the darker algae residue is higher on the roof line, this again make me thing its just not getting rinsed well. The lower portion has gotten rained on and the algae is gone from there.
If you are really concerned and want to test my theory, climb up the roof , get to the edge of the top portion and rinse downwards to the vertical portion. See if that doesn't clear it up.

WOW Ray that looks like a different roof. I'm gonna spray it again on friday and then rinse it off with the garden hose. I will post the results. Thanks for all the input. Besides this roof, all the algae moss and lichen we deal with up here has come off within several rains.
