I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you. If your too scared to clean a roof after 2 yr of reading then you might never be ready. Also there's nothing wrong with the word bacteria but people (customers) like simple and fast and so far as what I can see you don't want either for your website. Some people just can't take constructive criticism and you must be one of them.

The business that I have been involved with just slowed down about 2 months ago so I decided this would be a good time to jump in....just waiting for my equipment.

As far as constructive criticism, the operative word is "constructive". That's the part I think some of you just don't get.

Maybe you Ed should quit your day jobs and run the circuit teaching us newbies how it's done. With your combined, experience, talent, wisdom and charm, you're sure to strike it rich!

Several guys have offered you help including myself. Ed and Mike are some of the top guys in this industry. One cannot learn everything from reading alone. It also takes hands on knowledge. When I First started, I paid someone for training and it was worth every penny and more! Most of us have a whole lot of experience cleaning roofs and have seen new guys come and go. You have not even cleaned a roof and have questions. Insulting the members here will get you nowhere but stuck without having anyone to go to when you start cleaning and seek some answers to your questions.

I understand Eric, but I will not sit back and take that abuse without pushing back. I can't respect someone (industry leader or not if they respond to me with obnoxious answers. I think you will find if you read back that I was not the instigator for these attacks. It seems that those who are considered leaders in the industry feel that they are somewhat entitled to belittle, berate and judge people without knowing the first thing about them. Again, I am finding out who has character and who doesn't. I can already tell the good apples from the bad. Industry leader or not, if they are rude and disrespectful, I prefer to keep my distance. There are many, many people in this industry who know how to interact with people.

I wish I would have realized beforehand that having had cleaned a roof was a prerequisite for asking questions. I surely would have respected that!

Thanks for you're concern. I realize you're just looking out for me but you have to try to see it from my point of view as well.

Suck it up, go take a cold shower, eat a Snicker bar and take a day off from posting. Come back with a possitive attitude, be less demanding and learn how take a few jabs. THAN, opologize to all the veteran guys you insulted and you might get some answers to your questions.

Let me make a plea to all of you to end this thread. This has worn me out today.

I'm sorry to all of you whom I have offended today or yesterday by either insulting you or being a smart ass. I will not attempt to defend myself anymore tonight.

Let me also appologize to all of you for how I began this post. I should not have worded it in such a way that it sounded like I was demanding answers or telling you how to respond. My fault.

Apparantlly, from what I learned today, you are not allowed to ask questions until you have cleaned a roof. I did not know this and if I had, I would have not done so. Sorry for breaking the rules.

To those who don't forgive me or are still sore from the name calling today, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE don't respond back and create more drama.

Feel free to PM me all you want....rant and rave and call me names but for the sake of everyone who has had to withstand this horrid thread........let's put an end to it tonight, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE (I'm begging on my hands and knees now for mercy!)
