It is a good idea but from my experience with it is it has to big of an orifice. I get a lot of chemical but it doesn't shoot as far. If he could make different sizes then it would be great. I wouldn't buy another one for this reason.
Gary I don't know why you are getting more distance. I am definitely not.

Might be because my set up is more professiional . Seriously, my 1" pump at 120psi will pump 58 gpm, or try to anyway. I* can control the flow with this nozzle and that is probably why I get more distance.???? Call Barry and ask if he can make a smaller orfice model. But what I don't understand is the distance also increased when I tested it on my garden hose against a fireman type nozzle. Have you tried that to see if there is a difference? Let me know, I'm curious.
Edit- This thread has been moved into the closed section of the forum by me, because it is revealing information we do not want your competitors to see!
For our water hose nozzles,. we have 2 different size fire hose nozzles, depending on the amount of water flow and pressure we find at different houses.
Gary and I have REAL roof cleaning pumps that are 1 inch size, with 18 plus CFM compressors. We have the flow to be able to use bigger nozzles.
Our back up truck HAD a small 1/2 inch pump on it (we changed it to 1 inch recently)
When we used our regular size nozzles on it, the pattern collapsed (not enough flow)
The answer is a smaller orfice size, for our brothers handicapped by the smaller roof cleaning pumps.
There is so much difference between a 1/2 inch air or 12 volt pump, and a 1 inch pump with a big compressor, that it was hard for me to get my employees to use our back up truck , when it had a 1/2 inch pump on it!
It never ceases to amaze me when people drop 5 to 10 grand on a Hot Water Pressure Washing rig, then Beg for 50 dollar driveways.
Yet, when they get asked to drop 2 to 3 grand for the roof cleaning rig from Hell, that will clean a 800.00 roof so fast it is almost criminal, they cling on to their old technology.
Just finished doing a church and house using the master industries garden nozzle that Gary has been touting for the first time.
Since I shoot from the gutter and do NOT get on any roof I found that I was constantly having to move my ladder as well as changing tips all the time depending on the distance I was having to shoot. This was really the biggest pain in the …. of it all. Both of these situations really slowed down the process.
That changed yesterday when I started using the new nozzle. Got more distance, less moving the ladder, but more importantly I was able to change the spray pattern very very quickly. I was always frustrated changing the tips on my 4 banger.
As for the problem that the end comes off. I overcame that issue very quickly. It was a problem only in my mind.
I do not see me ever going back to using a 4 banger again.
Glad you like it. I LOVE mine. I added a bronze ball valve in line before the nozzle and now using the combination I have TOTAL control over the flow, spray and pressure. From a trickle fan jet to a wide open jet stream with a half turn of the nozzle and closing the ball valve slightly.
I attached mine to a trigger gun that I bought from Bob. I took off the wand ant I have it screwed directly into the handle. That way I can control the flow with just one hand. Only two hands needed to change the tip opening
Go for it Mike. You know the nozzle you were using was your problem all along. This one won't let you down. Make sure you tell Barry you're with RCIA so you get the viton seals and lifetime warranty.
That is what I love about it is being able to change the spray pattern. If they would just make one with a smaller orrifice. Just be prepared Mike, if you have a Fat Boy you won't get as much distance

I'm still curious since my nozzle shot over 10'farther than my firemans nozzle on the garden hose and shoots 71' on my cleaning rig.
Perhaps, and just perhaps, your fatboy might be getting tired and that is why you aren't getting a increase in distance. My fatboy got so tired it wouldn't shoot over 15'. This could be a way to check it. Your choice!!
That is the same nozzle by the same company. RCIA gets a discount and Viton seals. Yes it will mist when opening or closing, unless you put a ball valve in line before the nozzle (bronze preferred), then you can open the nozzle and when you open the ball valve you have an immediate straight strream which you can adjust to what ever you need. You can also adjust the flow usuing the ball valve. Gives you a great amount of control and flexability.

Good explanation Gary!
I should have thought of that!
Adding the ball valve will make it really versatile!
I may be gettin' me one of these!
Thanks for sharing a good idea!!!
