yes I threw in 800.00 for material, but that would be on the very high side, heck that would covered everything including me and Ed and his helper's lunch.

Get real! Their so many people on this board that is full of chit, and do not make the money they claim to make, I know that for a fact.

I think it would be safe to say that their is probably no one individual that is working and cleaning roofs every single day knocking down 1000.00 per day, day in and day out, If you were you wouldn't have time to be on this board.

So now we are to good to work for 150.00 per hour lol. get real!

Right now I'm real happy to get 2-3 k a week! That's not every week but it will be soon, and If I can beat 3k....

Well big hopes with the new website and other stuff I got in the works.

Ive done 2 cedar roofs with real light SH, came out fine. But really it's not the way to go. I guess offer 2 prices, one, the right way for 10k and a price the quick way and tell them what to expect. Either way you get your bottom line for time put in.

Good Luck with that Ed!!!

How do you guys stay busy during the winter? Are you offering other winter services? To be honest, I have only grossed $600 this year. Luckily, I saved up a little from last year's roof washing to get by this winter. Thank god I started this business on a shoestring budget and have continued to do so. We are starting our season next week and have roughly $4000 lined up for next week and the same for the week after.... I am gonna be RICH. hahaha But seriously, does it take time to get more, steady business lined up? This is my second full year in the business.

I hate to sound all stuck-up, but I have a really nice dancing gig during the winter. I dance and sing showtunes.

Haha I wouldn't consider that stuck-up. You have to realize I am in a very rural area (no showtunes here). We just had a strip clup open up about 20 miles away, they have men's night for stripping. I keep trying to talk my fiance into letting me give it shot. I dont know if my 12 year old chubby, hairy body would get many tips though.

I can vouch for Ed. My wife and I caught his show this January. His dressing room door had his logo on it!

the reason for not using sh is that it will break down the fibers in the wood too much and actually hurt the wood. The way bruce sullivan is doing them is not the proper way. Sure you can do it but the end result down the road will not be as good as light power washing with S precarb and oxilic acid followed up by a stain and sealer.

 +1 to the response above.

I did alot of cedar shingle and log homes back in the early 90s.

I would price this at around 6K.  2 and a half days work max with 2 guys.  Spray the oxalic with roof cleaning set-up... lightly powerwash.... then spray the stain/sealer with an airless... this job would fly.

You will find a bunch of cracked shingles.... add on $$$ to replace them.

Have a darker shade stain for the new shingles... or add a lil used motor oil to the stain you're using to darken it so the new shingles match the older ones.
