It has been brought to my attention that some members are upset and confused why their title was changed. They blame me for "taking this on myself and making this decision". Some are whinning about all the stuff they have done for RCIA in the past, etc..
Now lets put the truth out there. The decision on re-certification and grandfathering certified members til 12-31-11 was made back in April 2011. It was well publized during the remainder of 2011, along with several posts I made starting in December (http://roof-cleaning-institute.activeboard.com/t47161337/reminder-re-cert-due-by-1-15-12/ and continuing on til the 3rd week of January. At that time it became obvious that some people were not interested in preserving their tiles, and the correcting process began.
Now, for reasons unknown, possibly loss of business or internet ranking, they are concerned over what happened. I also sent 2 mass emails to all 2600+ members stating what was going to happen. If you did not know what was planned, I'm sorry. I only did what I could to notify everyone involved.. And this was NOT MY decision to enforce the new rules. It was a joint decision by all RCIA management..
You can retrieve your title and benefits by simply paying what dues you owe, just like everyone else has that was involved.
RCIA needs more certified members for the new .org site directory. Are you going to be included?
