I have ran a few different possibilities through the calculator... I used PA as the state.... Is there no price difference between Flat and Steep ? ? ?
I'm not sure I will ever use a calculator on my site.... I really like to see all of the factors on a jobsite before determining a price. The roof may be flat, but the surroundings may be a cliff..... I don't know... maybe I'm just too old school ????
Plus, there are some customers I like to FIRE, before I even get them..... I do that by Price.... and then refer them to another contractor.
The price from any of these calculators aren't written in stone. I believe you can set it to whatever you want so you will be covered. Just put a disclaimer at the bottom saying these prices are only a rough estimate.
I just put in that I have streaks, algae and moss { nothing about lichen } asphalt and very steep in NY 1200 sq on 1st floor and price was 280 - 360? Wow! Two story? Entire roof probably.....I don't know how you will stay in business with ins, help, gas and product? How will you even put food on the table?

We are still in the process of adjusting the formulas...
I understand that it is only an estimate.... but it sure is harder to go UP on price.... than to LOWER it.
I guess I just feel a little indifferent about a potential customer of mine..... going to a roof cleaners website from another state... and getting a "price" on how much I should clean their roof for.... ???
I dunno..... ???? Maybe I'm off base on this one..... ?
If it is still in the works please remove it, You are giving " our " potential customers the wrong information. I don't want them to think I am a thief when I give an estimate because your calculator is ' Off "
Most customers tend to minimize the extent of cleaning needed and how many square feet. I can't tell you how many times someone has called just looking for a quick price & provide a square foot number that does not match the propoert apraisers. They also leave out the garage.

If you need any help with the formulas feel free to drop me PM or give me a call.
The forumulas can definitly be tough, but when I orginally made the calculator, I felt it would give the customers a rough estimate. Since not many people know about roof cleaning not many people know how much it cost. When making the formula I would definitely price it higher. I only use the calculator for an estimate, I think it can varry $75 either way.
Also, when calculating the sqft of a home, I already factored in the garage. Now a detached garage would obviously be a higher cost, that is why it is an estimate, when you get there you can deliver the quote. Never too old school.
If anyone needs help with a calculator, I can give you the formulas I used.
Dan you might want to adjust your calculator a little higher. A 2story house medium pitch is less than 400.00. You should be getting atleast 450-550 for a 2000sq ft roof.

You gotta rememember the cost of living in NJ is twice as high as PA. Houses that are 450,000 in NJ are only about 300,000 in PA.
As I said before, its just an estimate not a quote.

Dan - I have to agree with Mike. Actually Mikes prices are a little lower than my normal pricing. I'm not too far from you and I can tell you that you could and should be getting way more for our services. With what us northern guys pay for SH you need to bump up those prices.
