I am going to do a "test-patch" on our first metal roof today. Any words of wisdom? I'm planning on taking a 33.3% SH to 66.6% water mixed with more than normal Ammonyx Lo.
I believe this is a powder coated/baked metal roof. Just want to be sure it doesn't dull the finish on it since it's overall surface area, if we get the job, is 6353 square feet.
Let y'all know how it goes later.

John, I forget who it was, but someone else was here not too long and they had a big job comming up and they needed answers fast, they thought the job was so important to get that they wanted all the information they could get so they paid to be a member. They said the membership paid for its self in one day.
I certainly AM going to become a member this year. If we get the bid on this roof we'll be in a position to pay our membership dues. Looking forward to it and being able to post my pics.
Test patch went well. The roof already had a dull-ish finish to it rather than high-gloss, so that was great. Some tough spots will need to be rubbed with an "Apple Stick" as described by Chris. I think we should get the job, just waiting for the go-ahead.
Thanks..

I moved your post. If I remember right, it was orginally in the certified roof cleaners--PA section. Guests are not allowed to post in the certified areas.
Gary
Hi Gary,
I had it posted in the first group at the top of the "RCIA" page. It wasn't in the posts listed by state (I don't even live in PA).
It was in the group with "Home Owners Guide, Asphalt, Cedar Shake, Tile, and Metal roofing.
Thanks..

Submitted the bid Wednesday evening. Homeowner liked the test patch and said he'd be back in touch in the spring. Hoping so!!
Glad to find my posts. I thought they had just been totally deleted. Not complaining, just curious - if this topic is for a metal roof wash, how come it got moved from the metal roof forum?? Is that just a forum if I'm going to give information on "how to"?
Thanks guys..

OK, You are probably right. There is a statement in there that asks members to NOT post there since that is for HO education only. I knew it was somewhere it should not be, just couldn't remember where.
Must have NOT got the job, since he said he would have the money to join if he did get it. He is still a GUEST. $100.00 must be really BIG money to some..
