Are you going to use rubber EPDM? Roofing rubber?

I tried the paint on bedliner in my truck and it was junk. Looked great when I was done but it didn't hold up to the chems.

you know what would be cool if you could find vinyl to wrap the boards, it would hold up to SH and you could keep it nice and clean all the time.

some kind of vinyl or plastic for decking boards

You can by sheets of PVC roofing for not much more than the cost of rubber roofing. Very strong and only needs to be mechanically fastened instead of glued like EPDM.

About as thick as rubber roofing around .060 mil maybe thicker. Extremely durable, used for commercial roof applications where rubber won't cut it. Like high traffic areas or above restaurants that discharge animal fats through the air vents. The animal fats eat through rubber but don't touch the PVC membrane.
