What I'm buying is a gov't surplus Teledyne 2 stage air compressor & 60 gal tank. It is powered by a Teledyne 4 cylinder gas engine that develops 18 HP at 3600 RPM.. Electric start (24 volt). It produces 17.5 cfm at 175 psi. Runs smooth, no smoke, and pumps like crazy. All for a crazy price of $550.00. 25 miles from home so I'll pick it up next week.

Wow, I think you will beable to add a roadside truck tire repair service to your roof cleaning business
I wish I would of thought things out more before buying my pump and air compressor, I suppose I would of went bigger with everything from hearing what Chris T says.
Man, we LOVE big pumps, we can always only partially crack the ball valve open, if need be. Or go to a smaller nozzle. But when it is time to boogie, we boogie. There is an art form to using a high flow pump on a roof, and still minimizing runoff.
But we nearly always get ON a roof. It is true if you are spraying a steep roof from a ladder, run off is always a problem, and a high flow pump can work against you.
We just did a 4/12 shingle roof w/gutters so fast it was almost "criminal"
