How often would you really need more flow. I could see on a big commercial job but on all my residetial jobs I'm always waiting on my ground guy.

The only time you need more flow is when you are over loaded with jobs and feel like wasting SH.

Man, we LOVE big pumps, we can always only partially crack the ball valve open, if need be. Or go to a smaller nozzle. But when it is time to boogie, we boogie. There is an art form to using a high flow pump on a roof, and still minimizing runoff. 

But we nearly always get ON a roof. It is true if you are spraying a steep roof from a ladder, run off is always a problem, and a high flow pump can work against you.

We just did a 4/12 shingle roof w/gutters so fast it was almost "criminal"
