Before I got to respond to Brian Friels comment about me not liking AC the premium side was changed to password protected again.
But I do want to to say that the problem I had with AC is over and done. I even have a gallon of the Green Wash I will be trying this season. Chris can welcome anyone he chooses to come here and I think that I and others will treat whomever in an unbiased manner. I think AC has a lot to offer if he goes about it the right way,...I never questioned anything but the product. I didn't care if he was here to sell excursions or equipment,..that's business.

Yes, we all need to deal with the AC issue, it is dividing our Forum, I started a new thread about talking with Bob from Ugly Shingles
If this is the start of a poll I know I've never had a problem with AC on this forum and I certainly wouldn't mind if he was back on. Personally I feel that the more ideas on this board (for better or for worse) the better.
From an "guest " looking in , I was curious when the premium side became open , Then I started reading some of the posts on different subjects , some were a bit informative , nothing extra ordinary. But the recent drama was very similar to a lot of other forums . Very unprofessional from a business standpoint . Name calling , finger pointing , accusations . Now , I dont know the whole story or know the players , but I do know this . From what I saw I realy wasnt impressed , kinda reminded me of high school . Potential customers would be turned off by that type of crap . If someone has jumped ship and is going into competition with this site , it doesnt make sense to hand them the ammunition to shoot you down . "what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas" Unfortunatly what goes on the web stays on the web .
paul, There is great information over in the premium side. The recent activity was started on that side to stay private and out of the customers eyes. It was basically for the forum users to hatch out. When things get heated its hard to stop the name calling and finger pionting becuase everybody thinks they know best. Ultimately this is chris t forum and he will find the best way to run this ship.

There really is a lot of great roof cleaning info here, much more so then anywhere else. Unfortunately, much of it has gotten buried by post after post where people are fighting.
Usually, after the fights are done, we have our Moderators go in and delete the fight threads.
We all have different levels of emotion invested in this forum. When we have a situation such as this, when its percieved as potential harm, dam straight youre getting some rabid racoon type behavior.
This website and chris have been an asset for my company over the years! With out this website i would not be where I am today. This site has the most honest knowledgeable information. We first found out about the RCIA at our first round table that JL put on in 08! What a great time everyone had. Since then we have learned so much from the RCIA and all the great people here. I have seen since then alot of new contractors helped and shown the right way to do things and are doing really well.

Thanks Pat
Plus, you would not have Met and Learned from AC if not for RCIA.
AC has a LOT to teach a person. Yes, it ain't free, and not exactly cheap, but nearly all the people who have trained under AC consider it money well spent.
I just WISH people would simply leave AC alone, and allow him to offer that which he offers, w/o ridicule.
For instance, I don't like 12 volt pumps a lot, and consider Air Diapragm Pumps a much better solution.
But, I am not "God", and someones pump purchase decision is their own business. I can lead a horse to water, but can't make them drink!
It really pisses me off that people "get annoyed" when AC offers his excursions or meet and greets by posting about them.
I guess it is "OK" for these people to crank out promotional posts by the dozens in a week, but God Help AC if he dares to promote what he sells.
You people need to get a freaking Life. AC does not clean roofs any longer, and has a family to feed. ALL he has to feed his family is the training he offers, and a few products.
IF you don't want to buy what he sells, then don't. No one is twisting your arms.
If you people are allowed to promote your services, you must afford him the same opportunity.
I will not allow someone to come into your promotional threads, and say your work looks like chit.
So why should some of you be able to ridicule AC's promotions ?
It is NONE of your freaking business, if you dont want to buy his chit, then please shut the fuk up on my forum.
Very well said Chris and you are 100% correct. I haven't met AC but I think he is a hard working OK guy.
Well, AC can be an arrogant, condescending, egocentric ahole sometimes.
He has his faults, we all do, especially ME.
But I like AC, as a person, and he truly is a very intelligent man, with a lot to offer. He screwed up with the bleach powder, we have all made mistakes.
But he ran and built a roof and exterior cleaning company bigger and more successful then any other.
The bottom line is this, most, if not all, that have taken his excursions have considered it money well spent.
I want RCIA to offer the state of the art learning opportunities, and I can't do that when people "draw a line in the sand" and threaten to leave if AC is here.
Though this is My Forum, I have had to compromise some of my ideas to make my members happy.
I would ask that those who oppose AC to PLEASE reconsider their positions, for the greater good of the Forum.
The Issue of AC is dividing our Forum, and it will never stop, as long as he is stopped from posting here, or ridiculed every time he does.
AC has many friends who are RCIA Members who are loyal to him, and will engage in all out battle to defend their friend and mentor.
Even Jeff from PA has "buried the hatchet" with AC, and has a gallon of the Greenwash to try out.
No one carried on as big a war with AC for so long as Jeff. If he is able to put away the hatchet, can this PLEASE be an example to others ?
Guys, I am BEGGING all of you to "Live, and Let Live" as far as AC Lockyer goes.
Nearly ALL the huge fights here lately, the creation of other forums, and general bickering are the fallout from the AC Issue.
Even my friend and Forum Administrator Gary, who we all NEED to run this place, and I are divided on this issue.
In the name of PEACE, and for the greater overall GOOD of the Forum, I humbly ASK Gary to compromise the line he has drawn in the sand as far as AC goes.
No, I BEG Gary to help me bring Peace to the Forum.
OK,,, Is everyone ready to feel the earth shake???
It is a New Year and although I may not be able to bury the hatchet just yet, I AM willing to drop it down on the ground and see how things go. Who knows, maybe in time with enough positive action and no BS I may actualy dig a hole and bury it for good. Time will tell...Tick, Tock...
