I've been enlightened on this subject. I knew nothing about until my direct mail rep suggested I put a QR (quik response) code on my next wave of mailers. With the right ap, a smart phone or other small device can take a photo of a bar code thats been assigned to your website. If I never heard of it, its probably not a big thing right now, cuz I happen to be the smartest guy I know. But I do understand that smartphones will play a bigger part of online searches. I will jump on this now to say on top of the new technology. I will also be creating a mobile friendly website for easy viewing on small devices.
Nice Ed good luck. Been pretty cold last couple days. Ed I have had four estimates this week so far, I just shake my head in amazement that they think of it now. What are you doing in the cold?

Ed-I'm not being a smartass, but we've had those down here for a while. Some companies even put the code on their vehicles so you can scan them while you're stuck in traffic. My graphics guy says everyone will be going to them in the near future.
If I never heard of it, Im sure some others havent either. So dont you think it was time someone shared it with others? Or did you jst need to tell me that Im way behind? If you already knew, this thread wasnt meant for you.
Ed- Wilmington is at the end of I-40. By the time something finally makes it's way here, the entire world knows about it. Technological advances start in densly populated areas (like NY, & NJ) and work their way down to end of the line locations with fewer people. As I said, wasn't being a smartass. From now on, I'll be sure to alert you to every new technology I see.
Ed, Google "QR Code creator". Most are free and self explanatory. You can copy the image and save it as a JPG and add it to mailers and even truck/trailer wraps.
