We just completed our new web site for cedar shake roof cleaning, which is also linked to Sullivan Roof Cleaning. This site was developed for the cedar shake homeowner. We have expanded our service throughout the Midwest.
We have contaced many homeowner associations and the response has been positive. What we have found is that the cedar shakes homeowner and those assoications are very responsive where the site is educational. Everyone comments that they didn't realize a roof could or should be cleaned. After reviewing our videos, before and after pictures and customer reviews their response is " when can you clean our roof ".
You and Laura have really built some of the most informative websites. You are really setting the bar high for professionalism in this infancy industry in so much of the country. Thank for the lead.
PS We can't wait until Sullivan Cedar Shingle Cleaning College opens and is accepting enrollment...
It isn't about how fancy your equipment and rig are. Even that you can clean a roof, which isn't rocket science.
It is about educating the homoeowner, not how to clean their roof, but what is in it for them to have mine or your service clean their roof.
Look at the end of the day no one has the answer, but all working together will find it. Networking is key to success, it has been proven over and over again.
If you are not educating your homeowners to the fact a roof should and can be cleaned you are missing the key element to being successful in this industry. If the phone isn't ringing then all the fancy I did stuff is meaningless.
What I do works for me but may not for someone else. The videos have been a big hit with homeowners, moreso in my case as I clean high value roofs i.e. cedar shakes.
For those that think they can just pull up in front of someones home and get up on their roof, which is one of their biggest investments in their home, is dreaming. The key is how do you give them the confidence to allow you on their roof to clean it.
Anyone can learn how to clean a roof in a matter of days. It takes years to build a brand or service that relates to the homowowner confidence in your service and added value.
