A little advise for this time of year

Well this is a first for me. I was checking my statement(business account) online and discovered a purchase that was not mine nor did anyone in the household make(wifey). I called the company which the transaction was through and discovered it was a fraudgelant purchase($120.00).  I was able to take care of it becuase i caught it quickly.

My piont is you should be checking this everyday becuase we have some bad people out there and tis the season for theft.

So do yourself a favor and check your statement(online) to make sure you are not a victim.

I hear ya mike, Somebody tried buying 106.00 worth of Legos about a month ago using my debit card online......People suck sometimes...lol

sorry to hear it happened, but good to hear you got it taken care of. My wife and I had our personal bank account charged a couple times but bank actually worked with us to figure it out and replaced stolen funds. It is sad that the world we live in is full of shady people just looking to take advantage of others.

I think we all get side tracked and dont check our accounts as often as we should. But i have been doing it a few times a week because (2) years ago i had $8500.00 chardes on my credit card to aplastic surgeon in California and last time i checked my wifes b@#*bs were same size. Bank took care of it.

one CC company or bank don't remember has a new card whereas evey purchase attempt with that card sends a text msg to your phone so you can verify the purchase before the transaction goes thru.

If the bank acct has been breached I'd close it and open up a new one. Once your info is out there it might happen again

it was my debit card. I closed that card number. so i will just keep an eye on the account everyday.

Get this, about 2-3 yrs ago a buddy of mine had like two grand taken out of his account by debit card. The best part is he never had a debit card!

 I just got hit for $104.00 worth of Legos on my business account.  I caught it while it was still pending in my account but the people at the Lego company coun't do a thing to stop the transaction from happening! Fortunaly, the bank credited my account about a week later. I HATE theives!
