The hose end sticks out of the tire roughly 3' and connects to the poly hose with a 1/2" quik connect. I could essentially hook the hose directly to the pump, but that makes it more permanent and im always changing things up. I disconnect the quik connect every time to keep it in good working order. A little lithium or plumbers heat proof grease to keep the fitting lubed helps.

Turns out that drilling a tire with a hole saw took more than the alloted 4 seconds that I expected.
