The consensus seems to be 40f, yet our first job of the day yesterday morning was completed while the temps were in the mid to upper 30s. (It turned out great as always )
And I recall a post last year which I believe was from NJ, where a roof still had frost on it during the cleaning process!
So, when is it really so cold that the roof mix ineffective? What's the coldest weather that you've successfully cleaned a roof 'our way'?
Low 30's in the morning then up to 40's today, roof came out great.
same here ... started at 10:30, wrapped up at 1:30, did the exterior of the gutter too, hit with hot water first & needed a little elbow grease ... same mix, same dwell time
the problem is the equipment and hoses start to freeze up. I did a roof last december and when we started it was 26degrees out and when we finished it was only 35. But my garden hose was starting to ice over. So i believe theres a limit.
I say, let it snow, we are set and ready with the plow rigs. Just need the storms to start blowing in. Been in the teens at night, but this week is in the 40's.
i've noticed with house washing that below 50 sh doesn't have the same bite, so I guess you can clean till stuff freezes if you want to put up with a less effective algaecide.
