awesome Eric, i landed a roof cleaning job while out on a snow removal bid this morning, couldn't even see the shingles

we'll have to touch base and talk snow ... i wish there was a section on this forum for us Northern guys to do so

@ Art - i used to feel the same way, but if the additional income exceeds the accelerated depreciation it's worth it .... it does do a number on the truck though

I know a lot of guys that use cheap old Jeep wranglers for plowing, take the abuse, easy to fix, super tight turning radius's and just put them on their policies in winter months. Plowing definitly beats any truck up.  Plowing is something that can add a few bucks to northern guys pockets but can't be counted on.

And yeah It was suppose to start snowin round 12 midnight and it started round 12 noon wonder how much we'll get now.

30 degrees outside and I've been w/o heat for 2 days and gonna choke the plumber whenever he gets here! Said eightish this morning

Weather here is 50 - 75 deg but there is very little work due to the economy and the drought that Texas has had.

philly wasn't too bad, came a little earlier than expected but nothing we haven't seen before. didn't really stick to the pavement but it's gonna freeze so we're gonna head out and do some salting overnight. i was hoping to plow tonight, but there isn't enough accumulation near me. Eric is about 50 miles west and I think he got more than we did.

no need to feel sorry Marcus, perfect packing conditions for snowballs for the kids and we got to warm up the toys before the heavier snow comes!

i love the warm weather but i'd be miserable without winter.

This is my pure Florida snow ignorance talking here...only been around it a few times, but can you hot wash snow to remove/melt it, or would that just cause a big ice problem?

Great Lakes Roof & Exterior Cleaning plows in western Michigan in the winter. We have a couple of 3/4 ton trucks we use for plowing. Do mostly commercial. The snow we get, would not want to use the 1/2 ton I use for roof cleaning. It would tear it up.

unless your building an ice rink, you don't want to use a hot water pw, lol

the only think similar would be a blow torch (which is how amtrak removes from the tracks)
