Holding your associates accountable for such a mistake as that would be wrong. It would be as much your fault as theirs if you were there.Rinse and Rinse some more but your still going to kill something sooner or later/never?.Everyone gets in a hurry to get to the next job so slow down a notch and have everyone double check. Most people just plain old feel bad when they kill somebodies grass, bushes etc, etc .Treat your helper the way you would want to be treated.Learn from your mistakes together as a team!Remember a pat on the back from time to time goes a long way.

Help is going to make mistakes like we made learning! employees are better educated than we were. They should make less mistakes and learn quicker. We teach them from our experience.

On the other hand, they are just there for the money. They dont enjoy our passion for cleaning and growing a company.

I prorated a year old leaf blower that was left on a job. 1/3 value new. "said you got to learn responsability if you want to be a lead tech. the boss when I aint there. you share same responability."

What if you put a crew out there that cost you a new pump every week, they dont rinse it, leave a 150 buck leaf blower on a job, average once a month, lol!!!

Getting off the truck is hard enuf, lol!!!

Mike do you use a blower from the ladder or only when you can walk on the roof ... Also do you use it for the granules or just the leaves? Gearing up for the fall.

For me fall is here bro. This what we do. Added all the other stuff. Use leaf blower any time you can! Even if roof cant be walked. Still seling home makeovers, bout 1 - 2 a week now. Roofs by self or house wash 3-4 a week.

Lots of gutter cleans now. We just had a hurricaine and chit load of rain daily.

Dont look down on a gutter cleaning like everybody did before. Its still money.

Agreed, you still need to have a doc in place for accountability. That way when you show them some grace they know what the cost of that grace was. If you have an employee that has been on a great run and then kills something you have a teachable moment and let it go from there, however if you have an employee that keeps having issues you need to hit them where it hurts. Then if they dont make corerections you will need to part ways with them.

Yeah the gutters are selling big time for me right now. We had a lot of rain too and I've been selling the gutter cleaning and upselling the whitening (for now), roof wash and house wash.

I go door to door every night and I'm filling up my schedule through mid November. When does gutter cleaning season end approximately? Also, I was looking at a Stihl handheld blower, and recommendations?

Thanks guys!

The best leaf blowers for gutter were built by troy built. Stoped carrying them at Lowes , got worried, went to website bought 2 of them. Just checked for you, Now they are gone.

Look for a flat tip, for digging, Also this blower you can hang on the guter, theres a platic clip built in! There gone.

Weird. glad I got 2 new ones aint used yet. One got left on a job recently, chit I drove back and got it!!!

I am not sure what happened. There were others who had the issue so it wasnt just you. Must have been a glich in the system. I set up a new ZOO session this morn and tested the registration form and all worked OK on this end. New session set up for Tues eve the 27th.
