Wow,I guess I've been covering up WAY too much as far as landscaping & bagging gutters.
Too funny Aaron, I was thinking the same thing... unless Chris is using water as a prop for roof cleaning chemicals?
If there were just one "secret" I could give everyone about roof cleaning, here it is. Always work in the WEAK range of the chemical. Better "too weak" then too Strong! "Too Weak" just means you have to wait a little longer for it to clean, and/or give parts of the roof a second coat. Stronger Roof Cleaning Solutions kill plants as fast as they clean roofs, so Tarps must often be used.
We did a flat cement tile roof last week intentionally with weak "shingle strength roof cleaning solution"
It had TONS of landscaping with no gutters anywhere. We used nearly 300 gallons of solution to clean a 2500 sq ft tile roof, but guess what ?
NO plants were compromised, and NONE were tarped. Ok, we had to give the roof 3 coats, and a touchup. Plus, we had to wait 15 minutes between coats, so it did take a little longer, but not as long as replacing landscaping
