Heres the link to the gutter guards I like to use. One of the very few that actually work. You can get these locally at J&L Building Material, they have a branch in Fraser and another in Concordville. I believe these would be the closest branches to you. They run 2.25/ft we charge anywhere from $8 - $10/ft. They come in 10' sections and it would probaly take you 15 min. tops to install them off of an extension ladder on a two story run. Call me if you need more info. 610-334-8227

thanks a lot Barry ... he didn't know what he had in mind, he just bought a new property and realized part of the extension was missing guards ... i was just in the neighborhood & didn't have my ladder to check out what he has, so i'm gonna look tomorrow and will take your advice & go to J&L

Try alum gutter screen. I havn't had a problem with them as long as the gutter has the correct pitch. They cost about $80 for 150'. I charge $3 a foot .

I clean a boat load of gutters every year and can say with confidence that none of them really work. You would be better off selling the customer on a twice a year cleaning leaving the the gutters wide open to work properly. This also gives you a reason to contact the client and maybe push some other jobs. The gutter guards may give you a quick buck but in the long run meeting with and seeing this guy twice a year keeps him refreshed on you and the services you offer.

you're right on about that ... sometimes people have it in their head that they want them & it's tough to convince otherwise ... i always recommend removing and having them cleaned 2x per year, i'd say i'm batting around .050 so far on that suggestion, not good ... i am having better success convincing people that don't have them to not get them and just stick with the biannual cleaning

Around my area it's more like 4 times/year. Pine needles can foul up just about any type of guard out there.

Pine needles easily find there way through gutter guards and into the gutters.
