This is my first posting on the site, but I have been reading it for a couple of days. Great info on this site!! A friend and myself were thinking of maybe starting a roof cleaning business for ourselves. We are both employed, but have pretty open schedules. So, it would be a part-time gig for the most part. Obviously, many of you have been quite successful, so I know the business model can work. I'm just trying to realistically figure out a basic startup cost (which I know can vary greatly), and how easy it is to pick up business. I've seen several websites for cleaners here in the Houston area that seem professional, and was also thinking about maybe asking about a partnership with one of them. I know that would cut into the profits, but might work best for all parties involved. Also, we're not the type to have a fly by night operation, we're honest guys who want to give our customers the best experience possible. That's just who we are as people. Thanks in advance for any comments!
Good luck Josh! I suggest becoming a premium member. Best $100 you will spend. Then you can change your signature to give your website SEO if you have one. It not get started building one.
Lose the friend as a partner and you won't lose the friend. Encourage him/her to start their own gig. You can support and work "together" in that sense.
