if they are dry i blow them out, if they are wet i scoop them out with a gutter scoop from ace hardware. i'm not so sure about moving an 8 gallon shop vac around a roof top...

that looks like a great tool! I personally would rather not clean gutters out, most of the houses we have around here the roofs are to steep to walk on, I find it to dangerous of work for the money regardless how you do them, even climbing a ladder over and over is dangerous.

but if I were to do them I would probably use a rope and harness and blow the out with a leave blower.

The tool works. I've been using it for the last 3 years. It has a hook to go under the spike and the other side you pull the leaves toward you. I don't use it on the the jobs. I mostly use it on the high jobs. I'm getting to old to hang off the roof. But it works. I'm doing a cleaning and screening in the morning. I will get some pics

I am going to buy that! I use an extension pole and a gutter spoon now, but it's a PITA from a ladder fighting the spikes and hangers that are further away.

I just ordered two of the gutter rakes. I will post a review when they arrive and I get to use them. I will try them with unwalkable roofs instead of my current pole which is a gardening claw duct taped to a 16 ft extension pole. Currently i have to fight with every brace/spike to pull the debris towards me.
