I doubt you will recoup the $ from this...   Loss of help, medical bills, lawyer fees, court costs, & you are going up against an insurance company...   That is if the home owner has insurance...  Good luck recouping from this Chris.  I hope you can still handle the heat and do the work your self in the meantime while you find another helper.  Can you imagine the time you will have to spend in the court room fighting this.  It will take a long time before you might see any $.

I would think the homeowner would just file the claim and the ins co would pay any provable loss without problem?

Of course, if they refuse to file a claim, it may get complicated, but I think you will win easily!

 Well, we told the homeowner what happened, she felt awful, she did file a claim, they paid all my Son's medical bills, and he is getting 55,000 dollars for the terrible scar from the operation he will have the rest of his life.

She said her bird never bit anyone before, and she felt awful.

 Good Post Marcus! Our family friend is an attorney, he feels their offer is surprisingly fair, and dealing direct, we have no commission to pay a lawyer.
